Elena Gilbert breathed in the warm air and held her arms out, tilting her head back.
She was suddenly falling backwards, but she didn't hit the ground like she thought she was going to. She was caught by a pair of two familiar, strong arms.
"Damon." Elena whispered, taking in his scent.
"You looked like a fallen angel." He breathed into her ear.
She opened her eyes and stood up for herself, facing him.
"Well you look like a-" She couldn't finish.
He looked like a fallen angel, too. He was breathtakingly perfect, but in all black, you could tell there was danger hidden deep within him. Well... you didn't have to look too deep to find it in him.
"Hot, beautiful sex god." He chuckled as she swatted his hand away.
"More like the devil." She grimaced and raced away, knowing that he'd follow her.
He caught her and spun her around, running his hands over her fingers, knowing that there was no ring there.
"Embracing your differences?" he asked and she smirked, something unusual for her to do.
"Well yes... And this is, like, the only day I've seen the sun in a million years." She looked up at the sky, not bothering to squint her eyes because she didn't need to.
"You don't know what a million years is." Damon was somehow behind her, holding her in his arms.
She shivered and melted into him, closing her eyes and letting the sun absorb her.
"Damon." She said after a while, her eyes snapping open.
"Yes?" He asked, but she didn't seem to hear him.
"Damon." She called, looking towards the trees, in the opposite way of the university.
"Damon." She stepped out of his arms and took a step towards the bundle of trees.
"Yes?" He asked again, but she just ignored him.
"Da-Damon." She gasped and he cradled her again.
"Damon!" She shrieked and fought out of his arms.
"What's wrong?" He asked, worriedly, instantly letting go of her, afraid that he was somehow hurting her.
"DAMON!" She screamed, and kept screaming at the top of her lungs.
It started to hurt his ears.
"DAMON, DAMON, GOD DAMN IT DAMON!" She dropped to the ground and he desperately tried to hold her up.
Her back arched at unnatural angles and all he could do was stare, horrified.
"Elena!" He pried her hands from her ears and tried to stop her from shaking.
"ELENA!" He crouched down on his knees and started getting her hair out of her face, wiping the sweat dripping from her forehead.
Something bulged inside of her back, then quickly disappeared, along with Elena's stomach-turning screams.
She lowered her head, breathing hard.
It was the only thing that you could hear, aside from Damon asking what the hell that was.
"Elena, what was that?" He let her crawl onto his lap.
She straddled his lap and he leaned back onto his hands to support both of them.
"I don't know." When she blinked, her eyes turned black, then when she blinked again, they were her normal bright blue. It only happened once, but it was enough to warn Damon.
Something dark was inside of Elena.
"Elena, I don't think that sex is a good idea right now..." Damon sighed, running a hand through his slick black hair.
"Please Damon." Elena tugged at his arms.
He paused for a moment, making it look like he was going to give in.
Her face lit up, but then dropped when she heard him reject her again.
"No, Elena. We need to figure out what's wrong." He told her and pushed her off of him.
She huffed and crossed her arms off of her chest. Then she started stripping.
"Well don't you have to search me to figure out what's wrong?" She asked with a smile, holding her shirt and pants in one hand.
He stared at her wide eyed, then shook his head and tore his eyes off of her.
Just as Stefan walked in, she taunted him.
"Fine, your brother will be more than willing." She smirked and glanced at Stefan, who was politely not trying to stare.
Damon growled and stepped in front of her.
"Do you really want me to take you right here, right now?" He raised an eyebrow and Elena shrugged with a grin.
"If you don't mind." Her eyes flashed black, but then she closed eyes them again and reopened them. They were back to blue.
Damon, for once, felt uneasy.
"Damon? What's wrong?" Elena sounded worried, but her quick mood changing made him fear even more.
"N-Nothing." He stuttered and she pursed her lips.
"Damon..." She trailed off, then dropped to the ground, her eyes turning black once more.
Stefan rushed over to her, but Damon blocked him with his arm.
"I've got her." He reached down to grab Elena, while Stefan stood behind him awkwardly, uselessly.
Those simple words had two, deep meanings.
Meaning one: Damon was the one who was gonna help her then...
And meaning two: he has her now.
He's with her now.
She's his.
*AUTHOR'S NOTE*
I'm gonna try to update Monday's and Friday's. Monday's because on the weekends I have a lot of free time that I dedicate to reading and writing, and Friday's because the night of TVD, I get obsessive and it's a good way to get my emotions out.
(So in other words, I just write them the night before I publish them)
Even though I think they're taking a two week break :( And if there's no DELENA next episode (which there will -AND BETTER- be) I will freak!
Anyways, good chapter? What the hell's going on with Elena?
