Two weeks passed, normally.
The first day that Katherine and Damon were discovered missing, no one worried, too much.
They figured they were out and about and Damon was begging her to come back to him, or something.
But then the next day went by, and the next, and they realized that they weren't coming back, anytime soon.
Meredith had her hands full, with the guilt of cheating on Alaric, and with Alaric, himself.
Mrs. Flowers wasn't going to participate this time, in fighting the evil coming to Mystic Falls. Not because she didn't want to, but because everybody didn't want her to get hurt.
Matt was staying awkwardly to the side, of course, while being polite to Alaric.
And so it was up to Stefan and little Bonnie to figure out where they went.
They decided to go look through the forests and roads, but had found nothing so far.
"Are you worried?" Bonnie asked, stepping over a huge branch and ducking under multiple leaves.
"I don't know. Isn't this just..." He paused, leaning against a tree, to take a break. It wasn't like he needed one, though.
"Just what?" Bonnie questioned, when Stefan didn't continue.
"Just... typical. Damon might have joined 'Elena' and-" Bonnie didn't understand Stefan perfectly, but she could guess what he was about to go on about.
"You aren't implying that Damon switched sides on us, are you?" She couldn't believe him, if she was right about what he was thinking.
"I don't know..." He sighed, taking a step away from the tree and almost tripping over a twig.
"You were one of the only ones, aside from Elena and I, to believe that your brother was good, inside." She gasped. "How could you say that?"
"Elena's changed, and rejected him, and when that happens..." He looked down, stepping on the twig and walking past Bonnie, to hide his face.
"He changes." Stefan finished and Bonnie laughed. He turned around, confused.
"Do you think so little of me, little brother?" The words came from Bonnie's mouth, but they were in a boring tone.
Nothing like Damon's.
"Bonnie?" He watched her cautiously, as she stepped in front of him, her eyes blank and unfocused.
"A girl doesn't change the way I act." Bonnie spat out, glaring straight at Stefan. "I'm like this on the inside, I just hide it when I'm with her."
"Where are you Damon?" He ignored his previous attempt at convincing Stefan otherwise, and got right to the point, not knowing how long Damon could stay in control of Bonnie's body.
"You would want to know." Bonnie chuckled humorously, not even blinking.
"More importantly, how'd you possess Bonnie?" He questioned, not feeling any fear, from the wild, red-haired girl, in front of him.
"Too many questions, brother." Bonnie paused, chewing on her lip, as if Damon was doing it. Like he was deciding on what to say next.
"But I will tell you one thing, I'm back at the university." Bonnie's face turned up into a wide grin.
"What? How'd you get there?"
"Sorry, I'm fogging up." Bonnie laughed and Stefan rolled his eyes, knowing Damon was only teasing.
