"Elena! Stop!" These particular words have been yelled too many times. Elena was always the cause of their problems. Without Elena, would there be any problems?

Surely there would be.

With Meredith as a vampire hunter, Bonnie as a witch, and the two Salvatore brothers as vampires...

Elena was just another problem. As a half-vampire, half-angel, and a little bit in the possessed area, she was the centre of attention.

Elena's expression was somewhat amused, somewhat angry. Her ridged hands were wrapped around Bonnie's neck. Her legs were on either side of Bonnie's waist... and Bonnie was on the ground. Flat on her back.

"You're choking her, Elena! Just like last time!" Damon shouted into her ear, while attempting to pull her off. How is it that a newborn vampire could be so much stronger then him?

Well the rocket fuel in her body might help...

Damon thought, rather annoyed.

Elena's new expression was worried, and her aura was lightened up a bit, but the black was seeping back in... fast. Her eyes were blue and her grip had loosened, but only for a moment.

Her eyes turned black again, her aura turned dark, and her mouth twisted up into a cruel smile. Her hands were back to leaving purple handprints on Bonnie's fragile neck.

Damon finally managed to tear her off, and he caught Bonnie as they both started to fall to the ground. Elena looked up, hurt. Her eyes were once again blue and they watered. Damon did not once glance back at her, although he could feel her aura lighten to a dull orangey-brown.

She turned away, done with the pain, letting her eyes turn back to black, once again. She was left gone forever, believing that Damon did not love her.

She planned to never make an appearance again. She would not fight for her body to control it for only seconds. Especially, if Damon loved her no more.

Damon carried Bonnie back to the dorm. Bonnie slumped onto the bed when he placed her there.

He patiently waited for her to wake up, watching her every move. From her breathing, to the twitch of her tiny fingers... fingers that were in his hair not long ago.

Her red hair was messily laying on the bed and some strands rested on her shoulders. Her minimal clothing didn't tempt Damon in the slightest, for he would not see anyone else, except for the body of his angel. His princess.

If only his princess was under control of her own body, right now.

He knew that Elena was hurt when he helped Bonnie instead of her, but what did she expect? Bonnie was choking, dying... because of her. This was the second time that Elena tried to kill her. And this was the second time that Elena was under bad influence, which caused her to do that.

He had felt her gaze on him, and he had felt her change. He would soon regret not even looking at her, he knew that trouble, was yet to come.

Bonnie was choking for air again, and Damon rushed over to her. He leaned over her and helped her sit up, while she continued to cough.

She finally stopped, and ran her delicate fingers over the bruised skin under her jawbone. She grabbed her own neck, so softly, but the skin was so sensitive at the moment, that she flinched.

She finally looked up into Damon's black eyes, studying his features.

What was he thinking? Did he regret kissing me?

Bonnie worried, but she was careful not show any of her worry on her face, for Damon was studying her closely.

Damon sat down on the bed beside her and took a deep breath. He took one of Bonnie's small hands into his and trailed his fingers along her, tracing each crease and wrinkle.
