They all continue to stare in shock at Elena's back.

"But... but this is impossible, I mean... the angels took my wing powers away!" Elena shrieked. Stefan shifted forward, extending his arm, daring to touch Elena's wings.

"This isn't good." Stefan mumbled to himself. He paced the room, trying to come up with a logical reason. The door pounded, making Elena jump. Stefan stopped pacing once he saw who came in.

"Bonnie!" Elena gasped just as Bonnie gasped her name.

"Elena!" Bonnie stumbled to Elena and fell on the bed. "Your wings, they're making me... weak." She creaked out, her voice breaking. Elena was confused. Her wings had never done this before. Her wings were always working for the better. But what if they weren't working for the better. If only I knew their name, Elena complained to herself. She felt three words appear into her mind.

Wings of...

She gulped at the last word.

Darkness.

She came back to reality and realized that Stefan had unfroze and was shaking her.

"What Elena? WHAT?" He was asking her anxiously.

"I know why Bonnie's weak... I know their... name." She swallowed loudly. Damon's head snapped up and he waited for her to speak.

"Well, what is it?" Damon asked impatiently, like always. Elena shook her head as Stefan stopped shaking her, waiting for an answer.

"I can't say." Damon was a blur for a millisecond, then was suddenly beside Elena.

"Why not?" He started shaking her.

"Because." Her voice rose and she pushed him off with inhuman strength that she shouldn't have. Why was she strong enough to push off a vampire now? And not just any vampire... Damon. She felt anger rush up towards her and calmed herself down. What were these wings doing to her?

"Get me a pen and paper. Don't you guys remember that by saying the name, it will activate them? And I do not want to have to clean up whatever mess these babies will cause." She stroked the black tips of her dark wings as Damon disappeared to find paper. He was back in two seconds, setting his gatherings on the bed beside her.

"There. Now write." He ordered as she picked up the pen and started staining the paper with black ink. They all leaned in, only Bonnie, who was now better, breathing on her. Vampires didn't breath, or at least didn't have to. She glanced up, but they didn't back away, not caring if they were invading her personal space. Now Damon invading her personal space for the right reason... that was different.

She wrote three words, exactly how they appeared in her head.
