"Eden?" he says, and my blood runs cold. He gets up and goes to...Eden.
"Fredman who is this?" Mr. Finn asks after Freddy and Eden stop hugging.
"This is Eden. We met at music camp this summer. She sings and plays bass," Freddy says, and I feel a hole in my stomach. Eden plays bass....wow
"My crew and I are here for the skating competition next weekend," Eden says. Summer stands up to go greet Eden, and I face palm myself.
"Hey! I'm Summer," she says, shaking Eden's hand.
"Your Freddy's girlfriend!" she says, smiling at Summer, then I got up and walked over to them.
"No, I'm Freddy's girlfriend," I say, appearing next to Summer.
"Tomika," she said through her teeth.
"Eden...." she said.
"You two know each other?" Freddy asks.
"Freddy, this is my cousin..." Tomika says.
"Well, I gotta get going... See ya Freddy," she hugs him, then leaves.
If you're wondering why Summer doesn't know Eden, it's because I hate Eden with a burning passion. That girl is one giant copycat. You might not believe me, nobody does, but that girl wants to be just like me, and it drives me insane!
"T, are you okay?" Freddy asks, hugging me from behind.
"Yep...I'm fine," I say, going back to the table, drinking my smoothie.
