Crushes and first loves suck.

Especially if they only see you as a friend.

You've tried so hard to make Nishinoya yours. But nothing seems to work. You always try to be there when he needs you. You always support him with everything he does. You love him with all your heart, but that doesn't seem to be enough.

Even friends have tried to help and make the dream of you and Nishinoya to be together, but if it's forced, then it's not meant to be.

Although you haven't confessed to him, you doubt that he has thought of being in a relationship with you.

"All he ever talks about is Shimizu-senpai. I love hearing his thoughts but I'm so tired of it." You ranted to Kageyama, sipping on your juice box.

You and Kageyama have been best friends since junior high, and he knows everything regarding your feelings for Nishinoya. He may not seem like it, but he's one of best advice givers ever, even though he could be a bit of an idiot sometimes.

Kageyama took a bite out of his bread and
gathered his thoughts before he swallowed.

"Maybe he'll stop talking about her if he knew how you felt? It's nerve wracking to confess to someone who you've liked for a long time, but you can't just endure the emotional pain you're going through everyday when he constantly talks and flirts with her." As he said that, he took another bite out of his bread.

"But I'd honestly rather go through this pain than to tell him the truth. What if things become weird between us? The last thing I want is to lose him as a friend. How would you feel if Hinata suddenly told you he liked you? Wouldn't you feel weird about it because you only see him as a friend?"

You said the last part without thinking, and immediately realized what you said. Right when you were about to apologize for bringing up such a random and hypothetical topic, you noticed Kageyama blushing a bit. Furrowing your eyebrows, you set your juice box down on the bench and then it hit you.

"Wait... Are you telling me that you, my best friend, Kageyama Tobio, has a crush on Hi-"

Before you could finish, he covered your mouth with his hands, dropping his bread in the process. His face was completely red, to the point that even his ears were red.

"Shhhh!! No one knows about this, ____! I was hiding this from you because I know you'll make a big deal out of this!!" Kageyama was screaming at your face while you were trying to take his hands off your mouth.

Succeeding in the removal of his hands from your face, you yelled back, "I wasn't going to make a big deal out of it! You're kind of the one who's making this a bigger deal than it should be! And stop screaming to the entire world Kageyama!"

It took a couple minutes, both the of you calmed down and began eating your lunches again, however, because Kageyama dropped his bread, you gave him the rest of your lunch.

You're such a good person.

"So both of us are having love problems huh?" You stated with a sad look in your eyes. "This is lame, sometimes I wish both of us ended up liking each other like those cheesy romance movies."
