Staying Up With The Ones I Love

Hailey's age :2 months old

Phil held Hailey in my arms as she screamed. He wanted to sleep, but since she wasn't sleeping, neither was him. Phil felt her forehead, and it was burning up.
"Awww does my angel not feel good?"
He cooed at her even though she didn't hear a word he said.

Phil felt an instant bit of worry. What if she never got better?

What if this wasn't just a fever?

What if she gets worse?

Phil got lost in thought before I heard Dan knock on the door
"Phil....love?"
He coughed a bit. Phil looked at him. He looked just as ill as Hailey.
"Awww is Danny Bear also sick?"
"Yeah.."
He coughed quite a bit. He leaned on Phils side.
"Dan Hailey has whatever you have."
Dan's head lowered.
"Babe it's ok. Come on, let's get you some tea."

He led them both into the kitchen and made Dan some tea. Hailey coughed into Phils shoulder.

Phil rang the pediatrician.

"What did her doctor say?"
"Give her some children's Tylenol and call them if it gets worse."
Dan nodded before coughing some more.

Phil's heart shattered for his two misreble angels.

Him and Dan sat with Hailey curled up in between them. Hailey's eyes were droopy, and so were Dans.
"Dan love, get some sleep. I'll stay up."

Dan snuggled into the couch. Phil smiled.
"Phil aren't you scared of getting sick?"
"If I do, I know you would stay up with me. I'm having a great time."
"That's cause you're not dying."
Dan rolled his eyes.

Phil shook his head.
"I'm having a great time because I'm staying up with the ones I love. Even if I was dying with some cold, I would have the best time ever because I have you guys."
He kissed Hailey's temple causing her to smile.

"She looks so much like you Phil.."
"Yeah right.."
"I mean it. I hope she is just as amazing as you."

Dan closed his eyes while Phil smiled at his two sick angels.

He would stay up late with them in sickness or in health.

He loved them deeply.
