You're Growing Up too Fast

Hailey's age: 14

Hailey's POV
   I picked up my phone as the screen was illuminated. She smiled as she read the text from her crush. She smiled with a sigh and walked out of her room. That smile soon faded. I  would have to tell Dan and Phil I  was going on a date. I shivered at the thought. Dan was super protective of me, and sometimes it was annoying.
   Phil noticed me smiling like a fool in the hallway.
"You seem to be in a good mood," he said, startling me. It broke me out of my thoughts and back to reality.
"Oh oh ummm," I said in response. I didn't know what to say. He looked at me confused.
"You ok?" He asked after a long pause.
"It's a boy, I know it is," Dan said from around the corner. It caused me to jump.
"Dad you scared me," I said. Phil was laughing while Dan looked at me seriously.
"Hailey you know you can't hide these things from us." Dan said sounding like a serious mom.
"Papa, make him stop." I whined. Phil looked at me helplessly.
"You can date him." Dan said. My mouth hung open earnings a laugh from Dan.
"Really!" I shrieked. Phil chuckled and hugged me. Dan smiled at me.
"I may be over protective, but you're growing up too fast. If I can't stop it, no one can." He said. I giggled at his cheesiness. He only laughed.
"Thank you dad, I'll tell you if he treats me bad I promise." I said while lunging into a hug with him. He smiled and hugged me back.
"Don't make me regret this," he said with a laugh. I smiled with a grin. I ran off with my phone, texting my crush, Ryan, that I would love to go out with him.
    I overheard Dan talking to Phil once I was inside my room.
"That's was hard for you wasn't it?" Phil asked.
"Yeah but she may be growing up, but we grew up once too. Let's just hope piercings and ditching school is way longer down the road." Dan said in a sincere tone. They laughed and walked off to do boring adult stuff.
I slid beside my door. I was growing up fast, but that's ok. I wasn't going anywhere soon. I still had all of highschool, it will be fine.

Lol my schedule is also to hard to follow, so now every other day a new oneshot will be made. I love these oneshots so much and you seem to like them too.
