Hailey finished putting on her golden earrings. She had a date tonight with Jacob. Jacob was her first real crush since her last boyfriend and she was nervous.

She hasn't told her fathers yet. She knew based on last time she'll have a hard time convincing them.

"Dad, I'm leaving." Hailey said running down the stairs in her black flats. She was wearing a long lavender dress which made her eyes sparkle.
"Where you going?" Dan asked running around the corner in front of Hailey.
"Out. Dad don't be weird about this." Hailey said.
"Hailey?" Dan said raising his tone.

Phil turned the corner into the conversation as he heard Hailey said.
"I'm going in a date."
"Yay! Aww Hailey I'm so excited for you."

Dan shook his head.
"Hailey no, I'm putting my foot down. Last boyfriend you had was a crazy psycho so why should I trust this one?"
"Dad! Please! I never felt more ready to date again ever! Please!" Hailey begged.
"Please Dan let her go." Phil begged with his daughter.

Dan shook his head.
"No I can't let you get hurt again. You're my baby and so far no man has treated you the way you deserve."
"Dad Please! I promise he's good. He has been nothing but respectful to me." Hailey pleaded.
"Dan please let her go! Come on she's a kid let's let her have fun. She got asked out more than we did in high school! Let her have fun!" Phil begged  as Haileys date knocked on the door.

"Is that him?" Dan asked seriously.
"Yes! Don't be lame, please!" Hailey pleaded as Dan went to the door to see a well dressed boy.

He was wearing a black shirt and a white bow tie. He had his hair slicked into a clean but messy hairstyle. He had a rose in his hand.

"Excuse me is Hailey here, you must be her father. I hope I have your permission to take her out tonight. " He asked.

Dan stared at him as Hailey leaned on Phil's shoulder hoping for a good answer.

"She can go only if you have her back in one piece and on time. You better walk her to the door as well. If you aren't a perfect gentleman than you can forget the idea of having anymore dates. Also if you hurt her I will come back with a fury. Trust me when I tell you my daughter better have the best night ever or-"
Dan was cut off by Phil.
"Have fun baby girl. Dan I think he gets the point." Phil said holding Dan's hand.

Hailey squealed as she left. She turned around and gave Dan a hug.
"Love you dad."
"I just wanna keep you safe. Call me the minute this isn't going well. I'll get you in a instant I promise." Dan said as he watched his daughter leave.

Dan shut the door as the twins giggles began to echo through the house.
"Dan she'll be alright. Now come on we got two other little girls to take care of now." Phil said kissing Dan's forehead.

Dan smiled and nodded.

He wished they could stay young forever...
