It's Not The End Of The World.

Hailey's age: 12 years old

Hailey stared at her homework. Her mind was blank. It made no sense to her. The homework was just confusing her. Just like every other assignment.

Dan came into the room.
"Hailey hoes it going?"
"This is stupid!"
"You're failing. I can't help you. Because I hate math."
"Can papa help me?"
"Maybe... Phil!"

Phil rushed in so fast he ran into the wall instead of the door.
"Papa, you ok?"
"Yeah. I deserved it."
"Yep. You also deserve to help Hailey with her maths homework. I got to go now. Have fun." Dan said while kissing Hailey temple.

Then he bolted out of the room.

"It's ok Hailey. Can't be so bad."
"Papa I hate it!"
"Well let's see if we can figure this out."
"Papa, I'm gonna be homeless!"
"Sweetie, who told you that?"
"Everyone. If I can't pass this class, how can I pass life."

Phils eyebrows furrowed. He picked up Hailey who clung to him, tears flowing fresh from her eyes.

"Baby, there isn't one way to succeed in life. You don't need to worry, ok love?"
"Ok papa."
"It's not over yet. We got this."

Hailey smiled as she finished the last question. Phil was sleeping on her floor, and Dan came home.
"Hey...pumpkin what are you doing up?"
Hailey ran into Dan's arms.
"Daddy I finished my homework. Papa helped me!"
"Well he's good at that."
"Nah he was terrible. At least I'm not as bad as you two."
"Hahaha Hailey. Time for bed."

Hailey giggled her way to bed and Dan tucked her in.

He looked at Phil sleeping on the floor and covered him up with a blanket.

Phil will always be the best dad.

Dan left the room smiling.
