Hailey held Jackson's hand as she walked to the pre-school. She had her hand on her belly, her lovely baby she had been carrying for 9 months. She had a beautiful ring in her finger, and her fiance Nicolas waited in the car for her to drop of her son.

Hailey never felt happier on the amazing turn her life has taken, but she missed the days when it was just her and Jackson. When he only looked up to her and she felt like she was proving something. She knew deep down that Nicolas was very needed in the family and she wouldn't change meeting him or having a child with him. He came into their lives about about a year and a half ago. After Jackson's father left, she never thought she would love someone the same way again.

She led Jackson to the door of his new classroom and he looked up at her.
"Baby come too?" He asked.
"Nope but that's ok. The baby will be waiting here for you when the day ends." Hailey said ruffling his hair.
"What if a monster comes? The monster under my bed followed mommy. I can't go now!" Jackson cried.

Hailey sighed and pulled him in a hug.

"The monster under your bed didn't follow.  I got that taken care of. Come on let's go make some friends." Hailey said tickling Jackson. The teacher stood at the door.
"Ok mommy has to go. You're going to have so much fun ok. I'll be back before you know it." Hailey said.
"Bye mommy!" He said excitedly running into the classroom as Hailey walked back to the car.

She looked around for a minute in the empty parking lot. Her car is gone. She pulled out her phone and dialed Nicholas.
He answered.
"Babe where are you?" Hailey asked as a sharp pain ran through her abdomen.
"I left. Honey I don't want to be tied down anymore. The baby is due soon. I'm not ready to be a dad or a husband-" Nicholas said.
"Babe shut Up! You made a promise to me 9 months ago you were here to stay. You proposed before we found out we were pregnant. Now come get your butt back here because I need you. Jackson needs you. Your unborn  child needs you!" Hailey demanded.

She wasn't having another man walk out on her family.

Then again was she big enough to stop him on her own?

"Babe what's wrong?"
"Well besides the fact you're getting cold feet when it's not even our wedding day, I-"
"Hailey stop being so overdramatic."

And that's when she hung up the phone. She was sick of this and she didn't have much time to think as another sharp pain went through her abdomen.

Labor.

She wanted to panic but she couldn't.  Here she was her fiance was ditching her on her son's first day of school and her baby wants to come now.

She dialed the only person she thought would be able to help her on such short notice.
"Dad?"
"Hailey what's wrong?" Dan asked. He had just sent the twins to school and Phil was next to him, tidying the kitchen after breakfast.
"I'm in labor. Dad come and get me. I'm at the-"
"On my way!" Dan said grabbing his coat, and Phil not even knowing what was happening did the same.

Hailey cried as each contraction got worse, until she saw her fathers car as it pulled up beside her.
"Hailey?!" Phil said as Dan opened his car door and helped her inside the car.
"Hurry! He's coming now!-" Haileys voice shook.
Dan shut his car door and sat next to her as Phil drove as fast as he can.

"Breathe sweetie. We are almost there." Dan said calmly as he brushed her hair back.

Hailey never felt more scared in her life as they pulled into the hospital parking lot.

Dan got out and picked her up bridal style and raced into the hospital. Phil parked the car as Dan got her checked in.

"Meet Carson, the newest member in the family." Hailey said holding her son in her new son in her arms as Dan and Phil stood next to her.

They were all tired, but they didn't care.
"Jackson...someone has to get him.." Hailey began.

Then she heard someone say
"Covered." In came Nicholas and her son Jackson.

Jackson's eyes lit up as he saw the bundle in Haileys arms.
"I made you a promise. Sorry I was such a loser. I should've known better than to put you through that. I missed our sons birth. I-" Nicholas began.
"It's ok, just don't pull that deal again." Hailey stated boldly.

He nodded and kissed her forehead.
"I'm gonna bring the Twins here. I'll be back." Phil said.
"Thank you guys. " Hailey said.

Her father's smiled at her.

"Always."

A/N Thank you guys for being patient. Life was getting a little crazy and as school starts again I know that will continue. I appreciate you guys so much and I will try to keep updating regularly.
