Cuddles From Our Angel

Hailey's age :3 months old

Phil POV

I smiled as he sipped his coffee. Hailey was napping and I was going through tumbler.

That's when Dan came into the lounge with tears stained cheeks.

"Dan what's wrong?"
"....nothing..."
He sniffled whole wiping his eyes. I stood up and gave him a hug, while he buried his face in my neck.
"Dan what's wrong?"
I spoke more concerned than the last time.
"My uncle died. He died Phil..."
He sobbed into my shoulder.

I held him closer, not minding my shirt becoming damp from Dan's tears.
"Dan I'll make you some coffee, then you can just relax. Ok love?"
Dan nodded.

He looked to exhausted to protest.

Just as I finished Dan's coffee, Hailey began to cry. Dan was about to get her when I stopped him.
"No I got this. You just sit down."
Dan nodded. His brown eyes didn't have that sparkle that he usually had. He loved his uncle, so I knew this was very hard for him.

I picked up Hailey who wailed in my arms. I began to talk to her in my softest voice, since it calmed her down.
"Hey love. It's ok. It's ok. I know. I know."

After about ten minutes she seemed to calm down. I carried her to the living room, where Dan sat, a few tears leaving his eyes.
I held Hailey as I sat down next to him.

Dan laid his head on my shoulder, letting some tears fall. It hurt to see him broken.

Hailey reached over to Dan, making him smile.
"I see someone loves thier daddy."
Dan smiled taking Hailey. Hailey gave him a big hug, and he smiled while holding her.
"I love our baby..."
Dan spoke while holding her.

Hailey giggled and I smiled at the two.

They were adorable together.

I reached over and rubbed Dan's back. He smiled at me. Hailey buried her face in Dan's chest, and he laid his head on my shoulder.

"Phil you're the best."
"I know, but you're also amazing."
Hailey cooed softly before her breaths became even.

Soon enough Dan's became even too.

I snuggled closer next to the ones I love most.
