She's Not So Little No More.

Hailey's age: 25

Hailey walked to her father's house with her newborn son in her arms. He rested in his arms. She had a fiance, but he left the second he found out she was pregnant.

She didn't care. That meant she got her little boy all to herself.

She knocked on the door and Winnie opened it.
"Hailey!" She squealed. Her hair was in a messy bun, and she was wearing a baggy sweatshirt and leggings. Her long black hair was beautiful.
"Winnie, it's so good to see you. Where is dad and papa?"
Hailey came on holding Jackson (her son) close to her.
"I don't know. Susie is upstairs listening to music. Papa is filming on youtube and Dad is out shopping."
"So you do know?"
"Yeah.."

Hailey rolled her eyes before Susie came downstairs.
Her black hair was in a fishtail braid, and she was wearing a pastel purple top, with overalls.
"Hailey, you're here!" She ran and gave Hailey a hug.
"It's good to see you Susie."

Jackson began to cry, so Hailey set down her diaper bag, and grabbed out her bottle to feed the baby.
"Does he cry often?" Winnie asked.
"Yep."
"That's weird."
"Trust me. Winnie you were the worst. Every five seconds you cried."

Winnie rolled her eyes. Hailey began to feed Jackson when Phil came downstairs.
"Hailey, sweetie you came." Phil said and he gave her a hug. Then he saw Jackson.
"Can I hold him?" Phil asked.
"I don't see why you can't."

Hailey handed Phil, Jackson. Phil's eyes lit up as he held his grandson.
"I remember when we brought you home, Dan woke you up. I told him he had to calm you down. I sat and drank my tea until he begged for me to help."

Hailey smiled.

Dan came home about an hour later.
He came in to see Winnie and Susie talking to Hailey, as Hailey calmed a tired Jackson. Phil was setting up a crib.
"Well what do we have here?" Dan whispered.
"A full house. " Hailey whispered back.

Then she stood up.
"Papa finished the crib. Imma put Jackson down."
Phil kissed Dan before Hailey passed between them.

Not even five minutes later Dan went to go see how things were going. He recognized a sound, and realized it was a special song.

"Love you'll be alright. So lead your head down tonight. Don't question what's been done. Protecting you is our job love. Love don't you fear, no one can hurt you while I'm here"

Dan smiled and chose to chime in.

"And when you have too many demons to fight, I hold you tight. I'm not afraid of anything you throw my way, so just close your eyes while today fades into yesterday. Don't question what has been done, Loving you is our job love."

Hailey looked at Dan and smiled.
"You remembered the song?" Dan asked.
"I sing it every day. It helps me sleep."

Dan smiled and kissed Hailey's temple.

She's not so little no more, but she'll always be his baby girl.
