I'll Be By Your Side

Hailey sat in her apartment rubbing her belly. She was 9 months pregnant.
She called Phil a while ago because she wanted ice cream. That's when she felt a sharp cramp. She instantly doubled over in pain.
The pain soon subsided and just in time as Phil finally knocked on the door, ice cream in hand.
"Hey princess," he said.
Hailey smiled and nodded before feeling another sharp pain, and it hurts worse than the first time.
"OOOOOWWWW!" Hailey yelped in pain as she doubled over, using the wall as support.
"Hailey what's is it?" Phil said getting on her level. He held her hand and she gripped it tightly as the pain faded away.
"...I think my water just broke." Hailey spoke with a hint of fear in her voice.

Phil grabbed her arm and he held her close.
"Come on, I'll drive. I'll grab your stuff, I'm not going anywhere." Phil spoke so calming it made Hailey tears that were falling from her eyes stop.
   Phil came back after having everything Hailey needed. He lifted her up gently, as Hailey just began another contraction.

Once her contraction stopped he got her to the car, and started timing them. They got to the hospital soon after.

Phil called Dan from the hallway.
"Hello Lion, what's up."
"Dan,  Hailey went into labor. They are doing some tests before I can go in."
"Oh my god. You guys ok, you need anything?"
"We are good but get some things for Hailey's baby. We did that for Hailey and the twins."
"Of course Phil. See you soon."
"Bye."
Phil hung up and entered the room.

Hailey sat on the bed with wires coming out of her arms.

"Sweetie, how are you feeling?"
"Papa it hurts!" Hailey shouted.
"I know, I know. Dan will be here soon."

Hailey began to cry and Phil held her hand.
"It's all gonna be ok. I'm not going anywhere."
Hailey held onto Phil,  screaming Dr the pain of her next contraction.
"It's ok, just breathe."
"IT HURTS!"

"I need to see my daughter!"
Dan rushed in. He had the twins hands, and bags full of bottles and blankets for the new baby.
"Who is your daughter?" The receptionist asked.

"Hailey. She's the best sister." Susie spoke. Her long black hair was curled and wavy.
"She's in room 203 2nd floor."
Susie grabbed Winnies hand, while Dan rushed them to the hospital room. Inside there was Hailey, covered in sweat, holding her new baby. Phil stood behind her, rubbing her back.

"Hailey, I'm sorry I'm late! We hit traffic and I wanted to stop and get you some things."
"Dad it's fine, and Papa was here with me."
Dan smiled.

"Guys, meet Jackson, my son."

Dan came close to see the sleeping baby. His eyes were closed, and his hand were rested by head.
"Can I hold him?" Dan asked
"Sure."
Hailey passed over Jackson.

Dan smiled. He had gotten what he always wanted but this was way better.
"Welcome to the world. I'm your grandpa..."

A/N Hey it has been a while but I made something. I wrote this based on a prompt made through DM which was just a great prompt.
