Crazy Ex's

Hailey's age: 16
Twins age: 2

Hailey sat on the couch on her laptop, watching youtube. Winnie was curled up to her side. Susie on the other side.

Dan and Phil were out on a date, so she was babysitting.

She brushed their hair out of their faces when she heard a knock on the door.
Hailey's eyebrows furrowed.

She wasn't expecting anyone.

Hailey got up carefully so she didn't wake up Susie or Winnie. She went to the door to see someone she absolutely despised.
"Open up!" Ryan shouted.

Hailey opened the door pissed off.
"Ryan what the heck?"
"Shut up!" Ryan said punching her in the face. She fell back and darkness surrounded her vision.

Dan and Phil came home after work to find the door wide open. Phil ran inside, falling up the stairs. Dan surrapasses him to see Winnie and Susie watching TV.
"Girls!" Dan said scooping them up. Phil came shortly after.
"Winnie, Susie where is your sister?" Dan said.

Winnie looked at Susie confused.
"She's bye bye."
Dan looked at them.
"What does that mean?"
"I sleep, then she gone."

"Daniel!" Phil said.

Dan looked at Phil.
"Hailey phone was by the door..."

Dan panicked and he brought Winnie and Susie to their room. Phil was calling 999.

They didn't want to lose their baby girl.

Hailey woke up on the roof of some building. Ryan had the sickest smile.
"Ryan..."
"Hello ex. Since stealing your sister didn't work-"
"Why on Earth do you think this will? Now let me go!" Hailey wanted to cry.

Susie and Winnie were still inside.

The door is wide open.

Ryan punched her again in the face.
"Why don't you love me?"
"Because you are crazy psychopath!"
That earned her a kick.

Hailey thought this was it when sounds of footsteps were heard. In came a police officer. 
"Excuse me sir what is going on here?"

Ryan froze.

He was caught.

Dan sat with the twins while Phil was interviewed by police. Then they got a message on their walkie talkies.

They smiled widely.
"Don't worry sir. We will find your daughter."

Hailey leaned on the police officer for support. There was multiple police, and Ryan in handcuffs.

Hailey was so dizzy from exhaustion she was surprised she didn't just pass out.
"Wanna see your family?" The police lady asked.
Hailey could only nod in response.

Her head hurt, and so did every other bone in her body.

She once again felt sleep take over...

Hailey woke up in the cop car. They were pulled up at her house.
"Here we are." The lady said.

Hailey got out with her help, and they walked to the door.

She rang the doorbell.

Please don't be mad.

Dan held the twins as they went to open the door. Phil cried at the sight. There was Hailey, bruised and alive.

Phil engulfed her into a hug, along with Dan and the twins.

All Hailey could think of was how much they meant to her.

"Dad thank you."
"For what?" Dan asked.
"Not making me crazy. You raised me with respect. Some people don't have that."

Dan and Phil smiled knowing their daughter was safe and sound.
