Dan stared at his computer screen. It was one of those days where he had fallen behind on videos and he had to try to get this video uploaded today before social media has a bigger freak out than it already has.

Dan was stressed as he couldn't figure out what the video needed but it felt incomplete.
"Dadda!" Hailey screamed as she ran into the room with her stuff Winnie the Pooh bear one phan gave her at vidcon last year.
"Hailey, Daddy is busy, what do you need?" Dan asked looking in his daughters eyes.
"The monsters are here to steal king Pooh!" Hailey said and then burster into laughter.
"Help me save the kingdom!" Hailey said jumping into Dan's arms.

Dans eyebrows furrowed. No the video. He can play with Hailey in a minute and plus Phil will be back soon with groceries. She can wait.

"Daddy can't play right now. Later ok?" Dan said. Haileys heart sunk as she left the room.

Dan felt tears in his eyes. He hated seeing his daughter sad, but this video was almost ready to upload and he just needed to find the missing piece and that couldn't take too long.

Dan continued to stare at the computer screen when his phone rang. It was Phil.
"Hello spork." Dan said.
"Dan, I needed to hurry to PJs place. Somethings wrong so I can't make it home right now. You ok alone with Hailey for a little longer?"
"I mean of course. Help Pj. We'll be fine. Call me when you know more?"
"Dan you know I will."
"Bye Phil."
"Bye bear."

It's been a while since Phil called Dan bear. Dan stared at the editing screen for a little bit longer. He couldnt figure it out. He never had such a hard time editing the video. Dan then he remembered Hailey. He hasn't checked on her since the whole playing incident. He rubbed his eyes.

"I need to check on her."

Dan got up and walked to Haileys room. There she was sat on the floor in tears cuddling her bear.

Dans heart broke. He had his priorities all wrong. He only gets one shot to raise this child and he can always post a video. The audience can wait. His daughter is something he can cherish once. He didn't want to be that father who failed and he doesn't want to mess this up.

Dan came in and scooped Hailey into his arms. Hailey clung to him.
"It's ok. Daddy's sorry. Hey you hear that?" Dan asked in his soft adorable dad tone.

Hailey looked at him intrigued
"What?"
"It's the sound of monsters we need to slay." Dan said. Haileys eyes lit up as she jumped from his arms and grabbed bubbles.
"Here Daddy, your weapon! Let's save king Pooh!"

Dan smiled as he chased around nothing in particular. This was what was missing from the video. Love. He was missing the memories that matter.

Phil came home moments later. He tried calling Dan but Dan didn't answer. He heard little shrill of laughter from Haileys room that made his heart flutter. He pulled out his camera and went to Haileys room to see Dan in a cape sword fighting the air with a bubble want and a giggly Hailey cheering him on.

"Daddy it's coming after me!" Hailey screamed hiding behind Dan.
"He cant get you as long as sir Daniel the great is here!" Dan said in a bold voice that made Hailey laugh.

Phil filmed in the background.
"This is just a normal day in our house. " Phil said quietly, watching the beautfullest memory unfold before his eyes.
