The Scorch Trials - completely different version :)

What really happened

A/N: This will be in Teresa's perspective and will be based on what happened before Thomas arrived, mainly how she was attacked. I would like to say flat out she was not sexually abused in any way and this chapter will include some violence and interrogation which is needed for the plotline. If anything in this chapter does upset you in any way please let me know and I will change it because I would hate for anyone to feel uncomfortable reading this, xx

The handcuffs were heavy on my wrists as I was escorted into the small metal room holding only a bright light and a metal chair. 

What had I possibly done to need to be chained? Nothing about this place made any sense to me, and some part of me knew I didn't want to know. The man who dragged me here pushed me into the chair, it skidded back slightly, making my chest lurch in surprise. It was surprising because I didn't feel scared, only confused.

"We need to have a little...chat," the man says in a mixed accent of French and English. He had pale red hair, cut short at the back and sides and left curly at the top, I would have described him as attractive if he didn't handcuff me, drag me to this room and dump me in this chair, now if felt like he didn't deserve to be thought out as an attractive person. 

"I haven't done anything-" I tried to continue but the man had other ideas. He leaned and squeezed my cheeks together to quiet me. This was strange, I knew now he'd gone too far. 

I thought of the others, were they going through the same thing? 

"This has nothing to do with what you have and have not done. This is about what you are going to do," he says, stepping back, his eyes seemed to go a lighter shade of green, a more icy look. Like a wild animal seeking out its prey. 

"What do I have to do?" I ask hesitantly. He smiles, his teeth jagged and chipped. It seemed to be a sincere smile like he'd forgotten what he'd just done. He seemed to be pleased that I was responding. 

"You've heard of the trials, haven't you? My co-workers should have informed you," he says, I nod, he carries on. 

"Well you see, we need some emotion triggered reactions to test the responsive attitudes of some of your friends, which is where you come in." I look down, horrified already. What did this have to do with their minds?

He continues, "we need you to a little inside task, we will set everything up and your friends will be safe if you just follow our simple orders," he made it sound like he was asking something reasonable. I frown. 

"What inside task?" 

He intertwines his fingers and perches them under his chin, "We need you to betray your friends, we need you to make them believe your true intentions throughout phase two is to murder subject A2." He says calmly, glancing to the door. 

My heart pounds, sending an itchy heat around my body. Fear. 

"Who's subject A2?" I ask, trying my best to take deep breaths, my head feels light, my eyes drowsy. 

"Thomas," he says, shrugging. I picture Thomas, calming me down when I came out the coma, I picture him leading us out the maze, telling us all it was going to be okay despite his own feelings of fear. I wouldn't even be able to pretend to want to kill him. I couldn't do that to any of them. A chill ran down my back as I started to realise I might not have a choice. 

"I won't do it," I say in the bravest voice I can. He sighs and looks at me with pity.

He reaches over and turns a dial on the wall, directing the bright light into my eyes, I listen to the door opening and I see two people walk in, I couldn't get a glimpse of anything about them because of the light. I don't even notice they'd moved to behind me until I try to stand up, their hands grip my elbows to the table, my handcuffed hands on my lap.
