I stop, staring at the door. It's open. Usually, this wouldn't bother me much but it wasn't open while the lights were off or I would've seen the light coming through. And if it was Teresa, she would have come out, she would have said something about the decaying figures above us.
"Minho, come over here," I whisper, his confusion is shown clearly on his face as he tips his head to the side and looks over at the door.
"She in there?" He asks, strolling over. He can't just walk in, where is she then? My knees lock as I try my best to follow him, he looks inside the door and turns back to me. No, no please don't tell me something happened.
"What's the big problem?" He says smiling, I turn the corner and look inside the room, she's fast asleep, half on the bed and half hanging off the side. That doesn't explain why the door opened as soon as the lights went on, it took a fire extinguisher to open our door.
"Who opened the door then?" I try to say but it comes out in a whisper, almost like I am asking myself the question. Minho shrugs, "maybe it's been open the whole time, she maybe broke open the door herself, I wouldn't be surprised if she was the one who hung these people." He says, laughing slightly at the end. He covers his mouth.
"Wait, no that isn't funny." He says and I nod. Teresa looks too deep in slumber to have been awake during the night, something's telling me someone has been in this room while she slept.
"Search the room," I tell Minho, rolling up my sleeves. Minho doesn't ask any questions and does what I ask. For once.
Everything seems to clean, so in place for anything to have occurred, but someone had to have hung those bodies, and even if Teresa was evil enough to do that, she would have come and asked for help at least, she isn't tall enough to reach the ceiling.
With what I remember seeing two minutes ago, there doesn't seem to be any way of leaving this place. So whoever did this is still in these 5 rooms. Her bathroom, that's the only room that hasn't been checked. I walk towards it, scared of what I might find. The door is locked from the inside, someone is definitely in there.
"Wouldn't go in there if I were you," Teresa mumbles, her head leaning against the floor, her legs and stomach sprawled across the bed. She seems so casual.
"Why?" I ask, stepping back subtly, not wanting her to know I'm scared now to go in.
"Yeah, there's some dude in there, came in the middle of the night, thought I was dreaming." She replies in a sigh, she smiles up to Minho who is now standing in confusion. Why is she taking this so well? I don't even know what to ask at this point, she knows there is someone in her room so she just lies there with the door open and dead bodies hanging on the roof.
"You do know your toilet is housing a potential murderer?" Minho says, his eyebrows raised. Her eyes shut slightly as she grins. There is something seriously wrong with her.
"If I was a murderer, I'd probably pick my toilet as well, it's clean. I keep it clean." She says, sitting up. Once she is standing up fully, she sits back down on the bed, glancing at me, then at Minho, then back at me at then at Minho. It was almost as if someone had drained the sense out of her completely.
"Has someone slipped you something?" I ask, my eyebrows raised. I watch as she laughs slightly.
"It looks weird how I am reacting but I'm just overtired, maybe stress kicking in. I may need emergency therapy from these people." She says, shrugging. It still doesn't make sense though, nobody could say this type of behaviour was down to being overtired. The door opens from behind me, for some reason I'm not scared; just curious and a little angry.
It's a boy.
