Earlier that day, around noon.
"- No no no Joey I don't think you understand like she is gorgeous!" Jo just sighs and shakes her head.
"Charles, what's her last name?"
"Ummm..."
"Why don't you get to know her a bit more before you go all googly eyes and propose." She ruffles my hair and walks to the bar to get some random guy a beer. Her ass sways gently.
I've had a crush on her for like two years, but gave up on her ever returning it. So I am interesting myself with Gilda. She is a very beautiful girl, and kind. We've talk a few times casually, texting, or we'll pass each other in town.
I look down to my coke, thinking about how my boys are doing. They left in such a rush and all we got was a brief phone all explaining somethings. Then the rest of them left. Honesty I'm not just some random person. I've been with these dorks for seven years. Though, really most people just toss me aside eventually. I've been expecting them to for six years. People keep me around a year then leave, or push me away. Seven years is a record for me.
"Alrighty. I am now officially on break" Jo pats my head and sits next me. "Alright. Spill your nuggets about this mystery hottie, I want everything you know about her."
"Okay. Her name is Gilda she has long dark hair and she looks like yes in silver."
"Is that all you know?"
"Shut up she's hoooottttt!" Jo just rolls her eyes and shakes her head lightly.
We keep talking the rest of her break and I stay and help her work the next three hours until she gets off. Me and Gilda had planned to meet up tonight so thats why I was telling Jo and she said that she would drive me so she could meet her.
Just as we were finishing up, around nine ish, Ash and Kevin come in. Ash takes over and Kevin leans over the bar.
"Garth went to do stuff can I thirdwheel with you guys?" I look at Jo and we both shrug.
"I guess." Jo grabs her keys and we walk out to her car, I ride shotgun.
We are talking about stuff, mostly it's just me fangirling about Gilda, when I look over and see Joanna just staring ahead like she's sad.
"JoJo what's up?"
"Hm? Nothing. Keep telling us about Gilda."
"No. Something is bothering you. What's wrong?"
"Nothing. Just keep talking." Her voice gets really quiet. "Like you always do."
"What do you mean like I always do?" This is it. She's going to push me away.
"Nothing. It- it's not important."
"Like hell it's not important! You think I'm annoying!" I should have known this was coming.
"What? Like you don't find some aspects of your friends annoying?"
"Both of you need to shut up because everyone in the world can see that you both have a massive crush on the other!" We both shut up and glance back at Kevin. Then back to each other, blushing like a fuck. "JO LOOKOUT!" I look over and see the headlights of a car come at us before the sound of glass shattering and excruciating pain brings me into darkness.
