Hide and go seek

"AHHHH PIDGE! STOP DOING THAT!" You clutched your heart and slumped against the counter in the kitchen.
"Doing what?" She pulled a spoon, that once had peanut butter on it, out of her mouth and turned her attention towards pushing the sticky substance off the roof of her mouth.
"APPEARING RIGHT BEHIND ME!" You ran your hands through your h/c hair, staring at the shorter person in front of you.
Pidge placed the 'clean' spoon in the dishwasher and looked at the f/c paladin. "Why are you screaming?"
"Because you scared me!" You crossed your arms and watched the younger girl raise her eyebrows at you.
"Oh, I've been told that I sneak up on people. I'll stop doing it if you want." Pidge turned to exit the kitchen but you reached out to her.
"No it's fine, I was just scared. You actually remind me of my little brother. He is a sneaky little kid. He could be in his bedroom upstairs and two seconds later be in the living room downstairs. He would give me a heart attack at least once a day. Ah the memories." You lowered you gaze to the floor, your mind slowly filling up with memories from Earth.
Pidge immediately recognized the change in Your behaviour and placed her hand on your shoulder. "You remind me of Matt. I would scare Matt all the time and he would scream just like you. Well his voice was a tad higher but still the same reaction." You gave Pidge a small smile and brought her in for a hug. "Well you keep scaring me and I'll be your 'brother' if you're mine."
Pidge laughed and pulled away from You, "I'm going to make you regret those words."
You nodded, "I know."
