Lai Guanlin - High Class

Tick tock tick tock

I looked up at the clock and straightened my back. 60 seconds until my boss and his family walk in for breakfast.

My name is (Y/N). I'm in desperate need of money so I can pay for my younger brother's hospital bills. The only person that hired me was the CEO of Lai Tech, to be the family's personal assistant. I took the job as it payed a lot but it had its ups and downs.

For starters, I am the only worker in the mansion, other than the cooks. I clean, watch over the family and basically just do anything and everything for them. I heard the clock ring, signalling that it was 8 am. I looked at the door waiting for the family to walk in, but only one person came in. Lai Guanlin.

Guanlin was the CEO's son and had everything he wanted. He's supposed to take over his fathers business. Everyone calls him a 'mystery'. No one has ever heard him speak. I looked down and bowed to him.

"Hello sir. I see your parents aren't joining us" he nodded and sat down at his usual seat. I served him his food and stood aside waiting for him to be finished. I closed my eyes a bit when I heard a sound.

"Sit". I put my head up and looked at Guanlin. 'This is just in my mind. I haven't slept in days, I must be hearing things. No way Lai Guanlin spoke to me.' I shook away my thoughts when I heard him speak again. "(Y/N), you must be tired. Sit down. It's just me, my parents aren't around."

I just stared at him with widened eyes and my mouth open. I snapped out of my daze and nodded. As soon as I sat down, Guanlin handed me his plate of food. I put my hands up to decline but he slowly pulled them down. "I've seen how hard you've worked. This is the least I can do to repay you. Enjoy, I'm not very hungry"

I nodded and started eating the food, bit by bit. I smiled at how good it was. I looked up and saw Guanlin staring at me. I checked the time and got up. I have Guanlin a quick bow. "I'm sorry sir, but I'm going to have to leave to attend to other work. Enjoy the rest of your day"

As I was turning around, I felt someone grab my wrist. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Guanlin get out of his chair and come behind me. Before I could say anything, he pulled me into a backhug. I felt my face fell hot. "I don't like you working..." I heard him mumble into my hair. I shook my head.

" I have to work. I need to pay my brother's hospital bills. They're not going to get payed themselves." Guanlin turned me around and I just stared into his eyes. I got lost for a minute before I saw his mouth moving. "I'll pay them. I don't want you to work anymore. You don't deserve to work hard like this."

I blinked and felt my face becoming red. Guanlin laughed and held my cheeks. "I'll cool you down. My hands are cold." I let him hold my face and I put my hands over his. "Why? Why do you do something like this for me? I'm no where near your league and status.."

Guanlin kissed the top of my hands and leaned in. "I've always known that you are special. I've always admired you from afar. You may not think it's true, but I believe that your extremely high class."
