I couldn't take it anymore. I hate everything.
My whole life is shattered and no amount of apologies could fix it ever again.
Ever since I was a child, my mother hated me. She couldn't stand to see me and would refuse to give me any food or water. She didn't love me like she loved my brother. I always wondered why, until one day it became clear to me.
When I was 10 years old, I found out that I was the illegitimate child of my family. My father had an affair with a woman who had left him for his money. That woman ended up being my mother and handed me over to my father. I never met her.
It was when I was starting high school, people found out and many of the students bullied me for it. I was called names, pelted with rocks and sometimes even food and even sent death notes.
What pushed me over was when some girls in my class pulled me into the washroom and cut my hair, leaving it in a disheveled state.
I couldn't take it. I was abused at home and at school for something that wasn't my fault. I was done with it. The only way to let the pain go was to leave this world.

I heard the bell ring as I quickly gathered my things. As soon as I was at the door, I saw the people I didn't wish to see in my path.
"Well, well, well. If it isn't Y/N. The daughter of a stripper. How does it feel to someone's love child?"
I winced at the sound of their voices, knowing what was going to happen next. The girls just grabbed me and pulled me to the back of the school, but
I was so used to their antics that I didn't fight back. The girls pushed me down to the floor, opening their bags for their daily prank. They pulled out vinegar, eggs and flour. I simply watched as they began to dump all the food on me , making sure they got it everywhere before leaving in satisfaction.
I heard their laughters as I pulled myself up and dragged myself home. I made it all the way to the intersection of where my house was located on, but instead of going right, I went left.
My feet took control and lead me to the Han River. It was late in the afternoon and no one was along either side of the bank.
This was my chance.
Without a word, I began to walk into the river, the level of the water rising as it was almost at my neck. Before I could fully submerge in the water, I felt a hand around my wrist. Before I knew it I was pulled out of the river.
I looked up to see who saved me, not able to see clearly due to the sub fully setting and the moon peeking out along the horizon. It was a man, a little taller than me and was wearing sweats. He had a white cap and mask on but I was able to see his eyes.
Before I could say anything, I felt my body become weaker and without knowing, I fainted.

I woke up to the sun beaming on my face. As I started to get up, a wave of pain surged through my body as I let out a groan. I saw that is was clean and my arms and head covered in bandages.
"Be careful. Don't try to unravel the bandages"
I was shocked at the sudden voice and looked up to see a boy. He had a tray of food which he set down in front of me.
I looked at him in confusion as he just gave me a smile."Who are you?"
The boy looked at me in shock but then let out a laugh. "I'm Kang Daniel.
I was walking along the Han River and I saw you about to drown yourself, so I stopped you. You shouldn't try and hurt yourself."I saw him gesture to the food and I understood what he meant. I picked up the pair of chopsticks and began to eat. I felt my body feel warm when I ate his food. It was a feeling that I never felt before.
Daniel saw my expression and smiled. "I'm guessing you aren't used to this."
I looked up at him and shook my head. "I haven't tried food like this before. I'm used to eating nothing. Leftovers are like a miracle some days."
I saw Daniel look at me differently, like he pitied me. I could tell he was wanting to ask me what happened and I told him before he could ask. "I'm an illegitimate child. My family can't stand me and people at school call me 'love child'. I guess I felt the only way to save myself was to just end it."
Out of nowhere, Daniel placed his hand on my cheek. I felt my face go red when he began caress my cheek as if it was the most delicate thing in the world. "I'm so sorry you had to go through that. No one deserves that."
A stray tear fell down my face before many others cane down. Daniel wipes each one away as he takes my hands in his. "I know I don't know you well, but I'd like to. I want to be able to take care of you whenever you feel mad or sad or depressed. I want to care for you if you'll let me."
For the first time in a long time, a smile made its way to my face. "But what about my family and school? I'm sorry Daniel, but no amount of care can fix the scars I have."
He took my chin in his hand and leaned in. My eyes widened as I felt him plant a kiss on my left cheek, the touch of his velvet lips making me tremble.
"I'll put you in a new school where you will be able to make friends and not be hated by anyone-"
He planted a kiss on my right cheek and continued on.
"I'll marry you so that everyday you can wake up to happiness rather than fear-"
Another kiss on my forehead.
"And I'll shower you with love so that every wound that you have on your body will heal."
I smiled as I looked up at him and saw him eyeing my lips. Without a warning, he leaned in to kiss me on the lips. My entire face felt as if it was on fire as i saw him pull away.
"And on top of all of that, I'll make sure that I protect you from anyone who wants to harm you, because you don't deserve to get hurt for someone else's mistake."
Tears ran down my face as I hugged Daniel tight, as if my life depended on him. "Thank you...thank you do much." I was able to mutter those words. I heard Daniel chuckle as he pulled me closer.
