Hwang Minhyun and Kim Jaehwan - Why?

I left my house and put on my headphones. I put my music on shuffle and started waking to the bus shop. I was close to the shop when I felt something on my shoulder.

I jumped back and saw Minhyun with Jaehwan. They smiled at me and wrapped their arms around my shoulder. "Why did you leave without us (Y/N)?  That really hurts my feeling, right hyung?" Jaehwan looked at Minhyun who nodded in agreement.

"Right, we all live so close together, so why do you always leave first?" I got out of their grasp and smiled back. "You guys always take to long. Besides, we have this same conversation everyday."

Minhyun and Jaehwan have been my best friends for a long time. They've lived on either side of my house for years and we've gone to the same school.

We made it to the bus stop and saw the bus coming. We ran into the bus and sat in our usual seats. I noticed some girls staring at the two boys. I rolled my eyes and stared at the window. Minhyun saw me and flicked my forehead.

"Yah, what did I say about rolling your eyes? There going to get stuck the more you do it." I rubbed my forehead and glared at him. "Aish, oppa! You know I hate when you do that. It's a habit I can't get rid of, right Jaehwan oppa?"

I looked over at Jaehwan for support but he pinched my cheeks. "Hyung is right (Y/N). Besides, didn't you complain the other day about your eyes hurting?" I looked away mumbling as the two boys were laughing with each other.

I glanced at the girl's from beifreband saw them glaring at me. A smiled and got up as the my stop was nearing. I got off and left Jaehwan and Minhyun to keep bickering about something.

I turned around "Guys,I'm leaving to class. Stop fighting, okay?" I waved at them and made my way to the class

[Narrator's  POV]

Minhyun watched (Y/N) walk to class with Jaehwan. He looked at him and punched his arm. "So when are you going to tell (Y/N) that you like her?"

Jaehwan looked at Minhyun and punched my arm back. He winced in pain. "How about you hyung? Besides, it'll be hard for her to choose one of us.. We've been friends for a long time." 

Minhyun nodded as they both walked into the school. They made their way to class and sat down in their seats. "How about we both confess to her at different times? That way there's a bit of time for her to think about who she can pick?" Jaehwan nodded at Minhyun's idea. "I'll go first hyung.."

It was lunch and I made my way to the school garden. I put my headphones in and walked around, looking at the different plants and flowers. I smiled as I felt the sun's rays hit my face. I sat down on a bench and closed my eyes for a while until I felt someone take one  of the earbuds out.

I looked beside me and saw Jaehwan putting the earbud in his ear. Usually I would yell at him, but he looked different today...like a different person. He caught me staring as I looked away. He leaned in closer and took my phone. My eyes widened as I tried to get it back.

"Yah, Kim Jaehwan, give me my phone back!" Jaehwan smiled and started typing a something in my phone. He stopped and sat me down putting my headphones on.

I looked at him confused but he just kept smiling. "I want you to listen to a song. It's something I've been wanting to say for a while.." He pressed play and I heard GOT7's 'Confession Song'. I looked at Jaehwan and saw him rubbing the back of his neck. "Oppa..."
I said quietly.

He shook his head and stood up. "You don't have to give me an answer just yet. Just..take your time." He smiled one last time and ran back into the school. I got up and ran after him. I saw him in the corridor and was about to catch up to him, when I bumped into someone. I felt myself falling, but two sturdy arms held my waist.

I looked up and saw Minhyun smiling at me. I blushed a bit but regained my posture. I looked around and noticed that I lost Jaehwan. I sighed and Minhyun noticed. "Were you looking for someone?" I nodded. "Jaehwan oppa confessed to me and...yeah"

Minhyun nodded and grabbed my hand. I was shocked at first but let him drag me to wherever he was taking me. After a while, we reached the rooftop. I saw the garden from the top and gasped. "It's looks even more beautiful from up here."

"Just like you..." I turned to see Minhyun giving me a nervous smile. He kept on rubbing his palms together and looked around. He stepped closer until he was no more than a centimetre away. I tried to avoid eye contact but it was hard.

"(Y/N)... I like you. A lot. Will you go out on a date with me?" I tried to swallow the lump in my throat, but it wouldn't go away. Minhyun smiled and just patted my head. "I'll let you decide. Take your time, I don't want to ruin the friendship we have." He walked away leaving me alone on the rooftop.

I slid down the railing and sighed. "Both of my best friends like me!? Now who do I choose? Should I just go with the one I've always had my eyes on? Okay, let's do that!"
