Halloween Countdown: Beginning

I sighed as my friend, Jawahir pulled me up from my bed. I groaned as I checked the time: 6 in the freakin morning. I glared at Jawahir as she flashed me one of her innocent smiles

"Why are you waking me up so early when I have no school, no work and nothing better to do?" Jawahir laughed for a bit before hitting my arm playfully. "You actually do have something to do today.. we're going to a Halloween party!"

I rolled my eyes as I tiredly tried to go back to bed, only to have Jawahir yank the covers off of me again. "Yah! Remember last summer when you made me have to go to aunt's baby shower instead of going to the BTS Convert? I gave up BTS for you! You owe me so you're going and that's final!"

I groaned as I got and followed Jawahir downstairs. "But Halloween parties are so lame.. people in stupid costumes, annoying Halloween music and I won't know anyone there.. what's the point of me going?" Jawahir sighed as she gave me a side hug before smiling. "Because... we're going to have fun and you are going to meet amazing people. Who knows, you might find a boyfriend tonight?"

I scoffed but laughed as I quickly washed up and went to the kitchen to find something to eat. As I wen through the contents of the fridge, I heard Jawahir open the door. "I'll be here to pick you up at 6! I left your costume in your closet. Be sure to wear it or else! See ya!"

I smiled as I nervously bit the inside of my mouth. "Will I meet someone tonight..."
