Kang Daniel - Blue Spring Ride Pt. 4

After the incident at the crosswalk, I've been trying to talk to Daniel, but it would always change to him talking about Jawahir. He would always cover it with the same excuse, how she was
'a classmate' and he wanted to help her fit in to our school, but I couldn't bear to it.

From what I saw, Jawahir fit in really well with the students in her class. At first I was happy for her, considering what happened with her, but I was also jealous.

One day while I was walking home, I saw Jawahir sitting on a bench, looking around for someone. I took a deep breath in and walked over to her.

"Uh, Jawahir-ssi..are you waiting for someone?" Jawahir looked over in my direction and smiled. "Yeah... you're (Y/N), right? Euigeon's friend?" I nodded and looked down as I continued.

"I wanted to ask if you really need Euigeon... because I need him too, we all need him. But it seems that you're being selfish.." I heard Jawahir laugh a bit as I met eyes with her.

"Do you really need him? Or do your feelings for him make you think you need him? Euigeon understands me! And I understand him.... I like him too.. so don't tell me I'm being selfish. Why don't you think about the difference between our needs? My friends are here.. goodbye.."

As I saw her walk away, I noticed Daniel walking out of school. He saw me and I waved to him as we both decided to go on a walk.

We stopped at a bridge and I started rambling on about the school council events. I glanced over at Daniel who was staring out into the river.

[DANIEL'S POV]

I heard (Y/N) talking and smiled a bit internally, but that was taken away when I started thinking about Jawahir.
'Is she okay..? She's a bright person.. I know she can make friends.'

My thoughts were broken when I heard (Y/N). "You're missing a button on your jacket.." as I looked down to check, (Y/N) spoke again.

"I like you..."

I looked up in shock as she continued, blinking fast to stop her tears from falling. "Euigeon... I like you.. I want you to reject me properly so that I'll be able to forget these feelings..."

I stared at her for a couple of minutes before taking a deep breath "(Y/N)... I'm sorry, but I can't date you..." I saw as (Y/N) looked up and nodded.

"Well that's over.. we can still be friends, right?...well, I should probably head home. It's getting late.. see you later Euigeon!" As I saw (Y/N) walk away, I felt her pain. I knew she was crying and I wanted to run after her, but I couldn't.

My phone rang and I saw the caller ID. It was Jawahir and I grabbed my phone and was about to throw it into the river, but I stopped. I took a deep breaths and answered it as I walked back home.

[YOUR POV]

A couple of months had passed and Daniel had been with Jawahir more and more often. We rarely talked anymore, but I try to forget about it.

I've changed a lot too. I lost 1.5 kg, I started wearing makeup and I've become more feminine. People have become more and more aware of my presence and I feel great.

Murao, Yuuri and I have been closer than ever and I considered them my best friends and Seongwoo and I became closer as friends.

I was in the library with Seongwoo looking at a magazine while he was doing his homework. He looked at the magazine and then at me. "What are you looking at?"

I looked at him and smiled as I flipped through the pages. "Just a beauty magazine. It helped me a lot actually.." Seongwoo nodded as he looked at me. "Is this became of Euigeon-ssi?"
I looked down and played with the pages as I continued

"I don't even know.. It helped me build my confidence and I feel more feminine now. I don't laugh out loud like a donkey or walk like I have a limp. I've become more healthier and happier and it's because of this. I guess I did want Euigeon to see how I've changed and that means I haven't moved on yet. Pathetic right?"

Without any warning, Seongwoo got down on his knees next to my chair. I looked at him in confusion as he smiled. "You're finally looking at me.. you don't need Euigeon to make you feel loved. Just know you're beautiful no matter what. And that the guy in front of you likes you for you... I like you (Y/N)"

My eyes widened as I looked around and okayed with my fingers. "Omo.. I don't know what to..

DO!!" I was banging my head against the wall as Murao and Yuuri looked at me. We were in gym class the next day as helping clean up the gym. Murao smiled a bit as Yuuri patted my shoulder.

"Do you like Seongwoo?" I sighed and turned around as I leaned against the wall. "I've never had someone confess to me.. Seongwoo is different though.. I love the feeling I have around him.. maybe I should give him a chance.."

After that, Seongwoo and I became closer than before. We hung out almost everyday and he made me forget about my feelings for Daniel. He made me feel loved. And I liked it.

[DANIEL'S POV]

I was walking in the courtyard on my way home when Kominato headed over to me. "Hey did you hear? (Y/N) and Seongwoo are the new couple. Well, not officially but everyone is calling them one. What do you think?"

I sighed as I continued walking. " I don't care.. she can date whoever she wants.." Kominato laughed as he grabbed my jaw. "You're gritting your teeth. Why can't you admit your feelings. It's because of that (Y/N) is in another relationship... you lost your chance.."

I watched as Kominato headed over to some of his friends as I continued walking. I last by the library and saw (Y/N) sitting at a desk doing her work. My legs unconsciously found their way to the window as I knocked on the glass.

(Y/N) saw me and her eyes widened as she opened the window. "Euigeon.. I haven't seen you in a while.. how's Jawahir" i shrugged my shoulders and looked at her work. "Are you almost done? I wanted to take you somewhere as an a-" I was cut off by another voice.

"Sorry, I already have plans with (Y/N).." I saw Seongwoo walking towards us and stood next to (Y/N). He leaned in closer to me and smiled. "I don't feel comfortable with my girlfriend hanging out with another guy alone.. sorry Euigeon-ssi, you lost your chance."

I just blankly stared as the two packed their things and walked out of the library hand in hand.
