Levi didn't know exactly why. But he was hiding. Hanji and Erwin and the rest of the Scouts had wanted to speak with him about his... Sexuality. And he didn't want to deal with them. Usually he'd just kick the shit out of them but he had been feeling... Sentimental for some reason. These were people who cared for him even when he was an asshole.

What would they think of him if he was honest? If he let down his guard and opened up to them? He already knew most of his troops were homosexual or along those lines but... If they knew. Would they look at him the same? Would they still respect him? Trust him?

A knock upon the closet door made the raven haired Corporal jump slightly, a soft voice coming through muffled by the wood.

"H-heichou?"

It was the brat.

Levi ignored him, scooting back into the closet even farther. But Eren had always been a persistent brat.

"Heichou. Answer me."

A sigh escaped the pale man's lips as he watched the doorknob wiggle open slowly. A tall brunette with gorgeous eyes before Levi's stormy irises. The young teen just frowned, his face seeming downfallen. Walking into the closet and closing it begins him, he moved to sit beside his Captain.

The two didn't speak. Just sat next to each other. In a comfortable silence that the two seemed to always share. Something Levi couldn't find with anyone else.

Fucking brat.

"Heichou... Why are you hiding?"

Levi didn't answer. His eyes looking at far away from the brat's face as possible. He didn't need those Caribbean eyes boring into him. They seemed to read right through him...

"Was it with what Scout Leader Hanji asked?" He asked, his finger trailing down close to Levi's.

"You're fucking brave brat. Most would be killed for trying to touch me." He replied, ignoring Eren's previous question.

The teen sighed. Rubbing the skin between his forefinger and thumb, massaging the bite marks his hand held, he looks to Levi with a broken smile. "Why won't you talk to me? I try and try but you push me away. You beat me and demean me to the level of a maggot. I should hate you! And I do!" Levi shifted away from him.

"look at me you bastard!!!"

That made Levi stop. His gaze rising to meet Eren's frightened one. "I-im sorry... I didn't-" The Corporal shushed him, gripping the teen by his jaw and pushing him into a corner. Huddled together, Levi atop the shifter's lap as he held him by both his face and arms he tilted his head, studying the twisting and squirming male.

"What. Did. You. Call. Me."

Eren can't answer. His throat seeming to have collapsed. His eyes tear up and he looks like he would be begging for forgiveness of he wasn't so scared.

"I push you way for a god damn reason Jaeger! I can't care for someone! I can't trust, protect, develop an attachment!" Eren nodded slowly, tears leaking from his sea-like eyes. Levi would be upset if he wasn't so angered. He didn't like seeing the brat crying.

"I can't let people close to me for a reason Eren... If only you understood...."

The Corporal's hands released him, falling down to rest in his lap. Ignoring the fact he was sitting in Eren's lap. He doesn't even notice the fact that droplets start to fall off his dark lashes.
