Edit: I had to go do dishes and a bunch of other stuff...

Last edit: I'm too deep in little space to write smut *cries* Dangit! I'm sorry.

Tonight was your average night in Trostville, a small town of maybe more or less than 3,600 people. It was an old town that stuck to its old ways. People were superstitious, hanging their locks of garlic and hooking their crosses to the doors. Children young and old were warned to come home early and of course, never talk to strangers. And rumours grew every year that at midnight, that the beast under your bed would lash out when you least expected it. The night was cold as fog rolled in over the mountains and flooded the town's now damp street.

A splash. And footsteps followed after.

A blur of fur and claws rushed by, though if anyone was on the street, they would mistake it in their blind mortal stupidity for a wild dog. Or maybe a dumb prank pulled by the seniors of the nearby highschool that year.

Night, night- run, run!

The creature ran for what might have been hours or minute as they explored the new territory. Hallow's Eve was the one night he could run free of his form weakening after being in it for so long.

The flash of wings stopped the wolf, it's wild green eyes jumping to the small figure that fluttered down to the ground. And that now stood before it. What had ruined the wolf's Hallow's Eve run? "Oh, one of the Children of the Moon." The grey eyed devil purred to himself. Vampire... The werewolf shook his head of fur, the hairs bristling up as he furled his teeth.

"Oh? Don't you speak~ Come on! Be a good doggy-" The werewolf snapped his jaw, silencing the Child of Night. Vampire... He despised their kind, their vanity and their immortal arrogance. They didn't care for anyone but themselves. "Geez. I just wanted to play..." The vampire huffed, his wing/ears twitching as they disappeared into the sides of his cranium.

"What?" He snapped, looking up from his sleeves he had started to readjust. The werewolf snarled and paced back and forth. "Can't I speak to a fellow Basement Dweller?" Basement Dweller. A more modern term for what they were. Monsters. Immortal beasts.

"Fine. Don't talk to me." The vampire said with a disappointed look. He rested against the lamp pole he had shifted under and lied back against it. The other left to wonder what he was up to.

"I'm willing to wait." He stated flatly, pulling out a nail filer, which right at the time looked ridiculous next to him, dressed like a prince as he held the pink piece of wood between his long and slender fingers. Prick... Shaking his head again, the wolf shifted. Now stood a tall and lanky man with gorgeous green eyes that seemed to look straight through the vampire who watched him.

"Damn." The raven haired uttered in such a shocked tone, that the werewolf couldn't help but smirk.

"So..." his chestnut haired counterpart began, finding it difficult to find his voice after being in that form for so long. "What is a Child of Night doing here on Hallow's Eve?"

The vampire shrugged.

"Well... May I get your name than?" The wolf asked, licking his lips now that he was in his more rational body. He had to admit... The vampire had a sort of beauty to him that attracted the Lycan. And from how he spoke to him... Maybe he wasn't so bad?
