"I thought you said you didn't know Armin." I gulped as Levi stared at the emails Jean and I had written together.

Armin had found the letter I wrote to myself, due to my stupid therapy, about wanting to kill myself. How I was worthless. How I- I was just done... and next thing everyone know he... Killed himself. Now everyone thinks we were bestfriends, maybe even more. And what's sad is I couldn't deny it. I didn't deny it. My own social anxiety and fear of being treated badly influenced by there expectations led to this...

My own boyfriend hates me.

All because his, Armin's, family thinks we were dating.

So they offered to pay for my college tuition.

"So ya found a place where the grass is greener?" Levi asked, his usually so calm face carrying a scowl. I felt my heart ache as I fell back, him taking a step forward, his face so dark. "So ya jumped the fence to other side. Are they giving you a world I could never provide?" He asked. I opened my mouth to speak but was cut off as he walked closer.

"Well I hope you're proud of your big decision. Yeah, I hope it's all that you want and more." He growled, tears starting to fill his eyes. "Now you're free from the agonizing life you were living before."

"Levi-" I was cut off again by him slamming the laptop down on the table, his feet seeming to slam agaisnt the ground as he strode to his dresser. His mother and father had died when we were fifteen so he moved in with my family... And now he thinks I was dating Armin behind his back.

"And you say what you need to say, so that you get to walk away. It would kill you to have to stay trapped when you've got something new." He said coldly as he packed his bag, his back to me. I stood up and moved to grab his shoulder. To explain! To tell him the truth! But just like everyone else... He forgot I was human too.

"Well I'm sorry you had it rough. And I'm sorry I'm not enough. Thank God they rescued you."

Then the voices were back...

"We're done Eren. I'm sorry." Levi said finally, hand on the doorframe as he spoke, eyes forward and not even looking back. The tears in my eyes started streaming.

"Levi-"

And he was gone...

Annie came up to me the next day. It was lunch and I was alone, beneath the big oak tree near the outside eating area. She sat down beside me, gripping a bagged lunch in her hand, eyes straight ahead before speaking.

"Why did Armin kill himself?"

"Wait what?" I asked, brows furrowed.

"He was doing better. That's what he told you in every single email and then a month later he kills himself? How does that make sense?" No. She couldn't know. She couldn't learn the truth. She had been digging into it as soon as everyone mistakenly said that the letter I had written, the latter they found in his pocket when they found his body, was his suicide letter to me.
