"Oi get up brat."

I groaned, raising my throbbing head to see a dark haired figure towering over my curled up body. I pushed up onto my elbows and squinted. A bright light hung in the middle of the room on nothing but a chain, shining gently from being turned on.

"Stand up." The rough voice grunted. I stopped scanning the room to look into the eyes of my boss. "M-Mr. Ackerman! Sir! I-"

"You failed me. My little watchdog failed. Do you know what I do to bad dogs?" The raven asked, not even bothering to look at me. I nodded slowly. Realizing he couldn't see me- I choked out a quick,'Yes sir.' I watched carefully as he moved from where he stood to sit down in a plain chair in the middle of the room. A door was behind it and that was it. The walls were made of cement and soundproof. No windows. No anything.

"S-sir, I don't know what horseface told you but I didn't betray you!" His grey orbs slid from where he was staring off into space to glare down at me. I was a huddled mess only a foot or two away from him, I could only imagine what I looked like right now.

It must have been a day or two.

The blast from the safehouse.

The fucking Russian Mafia- having had found it and blown it up. I had been the watchdog for only a month or two. Maybe three. But I was the best. And somehow. Somehow. I felt tears welding up behind my eyelids and blinked them back. Somehow... I had failed my boss. My one purpose in life was obliterated when I failed to complete my contract.

"Don't think of this as your regular job. You can't quiet. Can't resign. Can't retire. You live or you die in this line of work." The dark haired man said from behind his desk, watching the teen never break his gaze with a fierce look is his eyes.

"I understand sir. I swear on my mother's grave," He said, resting his right hand in a fist above his heart. "I will never fail you. I will die for you. I will fight for you. I am your Mafia's dog now. Do what with me you will. As long as I am of use I will never fail to obey your orders." The pale man behind the desk smirked, laughed a little even.

"What if I asked you to kill yourself? To protect the Family's secrets?"

Eren Jaeger nodded again, his voice firm as he spoke. "I swear. For the Family."

"For the Family." Levi Ackerman whispered under his breath, watching the young boy tilt his head and smile. "So when do I start?"

Levi kicked a leg over the other and watched me in my quiet stupor. It had been known for awhile that I went off into little trances. So he waited patiently as I came to.

"Now listen here," He said slowly, his voice deep and reverberating across the empty room.

"I know you're young. And I know you didn't know. But you failed the Family... And the Family needs to deal out their consequences." I didn't argue. Didn't beg for forgiveness. That would make it all the much more worst. I had learned that my first week here. I had the shit beaten out of me by Boss himself. I took it. And learned my lesson.

"You will be by my side 24/7. You aren't to go anywhere without me. You are to follow my orders and learn more about the Family, until we believe you have learned your lesson." He said, his face blank like he didn't care one way or the other. But then a small smirk teased onto his lips. "So to say... You will be my dog."

"...What?"

~~~
A month into this endeavor I had started getting used to being by Boss's side all the time. And when he had said by his side 24/7 he really meant by his side 24/7!
