XXIV. CAMERON

MAGCON Makeup Sex

The doorbell sang and Cameron just groaned. It did it again. So he thought it was important. He opened the door. His eyes widened seeing the most beautiful woman on his life - not including his family.

"Hi," Kate awkwardly waved. "I knew you wouldn't answer if I only rang the doorbell once so . . . "

Cameron had to smile. How could Kate still remember the simplest and boring facts about Cameron?

He opened the door for her to enter, but Kate slowly shook her head, "I won't be here for too long." She looked through her bag and showed Cameron a card. He sighed. Him and Alison had been planning it all. They distributed the cards to just magcon family. It has been going for weeks. It was supposed to be a secret party but apparently Kate knows about it.

He nodded, "what about that?"

Kate put it back down to her purse. She sighed deeply, she didn't thought of Cameron's question. She just continued with her main purpose of going at Cameron's house.

"I chatted with a fan on omegle. I asked for opinions - and no worries, no names metioned."

Cameron nodded, trying not to disturb her. He just waited for the next few seconds for her to continue.

"I'm sorry," Kate finally said.

Cameron's eyes widened. Why? It was Cameron who was supposed to be saying sorry. Cameron just stared at her as she listed things that she was sorry of.

"For lying. For judging. For everything. I - " Then it started raining. Such a cliché movie move, it's sad and it rains.  "I really am sorry," she whispered.

Cameron grabbed her hand and hugged her. Partly because he missed her and partly because she was getting soaked.

"I'm sorry," they synced.

Cameron moved her wet hair out of the way, "Do you wanna make out in the rain?"

Kate smiled, "always the same, Dallas."

Cameron smiled and kissed her.

"So is my birthday party on?"

He made a thinking face - as if he was actually thinking,"I'm not sure because it's no longer a surprise birthday so - "

"Please," Kate pouted, "For me?"

Cameron gave in, "But you gotta pretend it's a surprise."

Kate giggled. Giggled. Cameron's girlfriend giggled. A real giggle. In front of him. It was too cute that Cameron couldn't resist a smile and blush.

"I'll try," she nodded and kissed Cameron again.

"Cameron, get your guest inside!" a girl - which most likely be Sierra - commanded.

Cameron smiled through the kiss and grabbed Kate's hand.

"Oh, you two are," Sierra smiled uncontrollably. "You will still be my sister in law, yay."

Kate blushed. One thing different from Kate to the other girls is that she doesn't like thinking about the future - kids, family, marriage, any wedding, work, etc. She just want to focus on what's happening in the present. Because who knows? It might end soon. Cameron, on the other hand is the opposite. He once brought it up and Kate felt really awkward that Cameron has to question it.
