S2 Chapter 27

Zayn purrs as Niall rubs his tummy. They're currently in the living room, waiting for Harry and the others. Zayn noticed Niall being stressed so he decided to do the cat thing where he lays across Niall's lap, looking at him with wide eyes while mewling and wrapping his tail around Niall's arm. It successfully distracted Niall from the fact that half of his family is still not home, and proceeded to play with his kitten son.

"Such a good little kitty, aren't you?" Niall cooed softly, stroking Zayn's black velvet ear, making the said kitten purr happily as he felt relax.

"It's been four hours, did Michael reply yet?" Liam whispered to Luke.

"Nothing yet." Luke sighed worriedly, "Ashton said if another hour passed and we still haven't heard from them, we'll be going there, the three of us, me, you and Ash." he added.

"Right. Let's hope it won't come to that." Liam hoped before laying back on the sofa and trying to watch whatever is on the television.

Just then, Ashton bursted through the door, a woman following close behind.

"S-Sierra?" Niall's eyes widened, sitting up straight and almost knocking his son off him.

"N-Niall..." Sierra said as she try to catch her breath.

"They need our help! Things didn't go well." Ashton said, too worried to hide this from Zayn.

"L-Lou?" Zayn whimpered as he walk hand in hand with Luke.

"We're going to save them, Z. Don't worry." Liam promised while comforting his father by wrapping his arm around his shoulder while they walk through the forest.

"The sooner we find Cameron's black mirror, the sooner we'll save them." Sierra said as the lead the group, "Everyone has their necklaces on, right?"

Everyone nodded.

"Good. I remembered Cameron always sneaking here. The mirror must be here. And if it is here, no doubt that he put some guarding spells, so be sure to NEVER take your necklace off, it'll only protect you from spells that are planning to hit you directly, so it is also important stick with your partner, okay?" Sierra reminded everyone, "Especially now that it's getting dark. Our flashlights are new, but it's better to still save power as much as possible."

"L-Lou, Papa, Cal, Mikey come back?" Zayn asked, whispering to Luke.

"They will, okay? We need to be strong and look for the Cameron's black mirror and break it." Luke explained, wiping the tears that are starting to form at the corner of Zayn's eyes.

"I don't get it though." Ashton sighed, "Cameron's essence is locked securely, how is he still roaming around?" he asked.

"I told you, my brother isn't any ordinary witch. As long as vengeance is in his heart, he'll keep haunting. Only breaking his mirror can stop him." Sierra sighed as she look around for any sign that'll somehow direct them to Cameron's hiding place.

"How big is this forest exactly?" Niall asked, still sniffling from crying.

"Too big to say. But I doubt Cameron will go too deep. There are some barb wired fence that stops people from going too deep because of wild animals." Sierra answered.

"He's a witch though." Liam frowned.

Sierra sighed, "I know, but let's just hope that Cameron didn't go that far. No one ever dare step inside this forest."

"How do we know if we're closer though?" Luke asked.

"I guess when we start seeing weird magic stuff." Ashton answered.
