Chapter 11

Louis woke up the next morning with Zayn on top of him. He actually woke up to Zayn nuzzling his neck.

"Z?" Louis yawned before wrapping his arms around the younger hybrid.

"Lou!" Zayn shot his head up and smiled at him brightly, his ears perked up and his tail swaying back and forth, "Morning!"

Louis' heart skip a beat, he can get use to waking up like this easily, well... on a comfy bed rather than the hard cold ground...

"Morning, Z." Louis smiled before yawning again.

Zayn rolled off Louis, giving the older lad a chance to sit up. After that, Zayn crawled on Louis' lap and made himself comfortable, "Police gone?" he asked quietly.

Louis thought for a few, "Well, I guess so." he decided to answer. He knows they are still on high alert but those guys probably took a break and will continue searching later. Meaning, Louis only has a few time to spare before moving again.

"Let's eat breakfast first before going out, yeah?" he told Zayn.

Zayn nodded before crawling off Louis and heading to their stuff. He took two meal packs then walked back to Louis.

"Good thing they're sealed securely." Louis smiled before opening his and Zayn's meal.

"Where we going next?" Zayn asked before taking a bite of his chicken.

"Wherever this jungle takes us I guess." Louis shrug after swallowing the beef.

Zayn pouted, "Don't like the jungle."

"Same here, Z. I promise we'll get out of here and look for somewhere warm and comfortable." Louis said.

"So scary." Zayn commented for God knows how many times.

They've been walking hand in hand through the jungle, trying to find a way out while being cautious of police and dangerous things in the jungle.

"Just stay close, Z." Louis said as he pulled Zayn impossibly closer, his ears perked up to heighten his hearing senses and his eyes in hunting mode for better vision.

The skies began to grow dark and flashes of lights were seen together with a thunder sound.

"Shit..." Louis cursed under his breath, "We need to find some place to keep us dry, Z." he warned Zayn before starting to move fast.

Rain began pouring hard, making it hard a little for Louis to see where they are going and also to make sure they don't slip us the ground began to be slippery.

"L-Lou! H-house!" Zayn pointed across.

Louis' gaze followed where Zayn was pointing and to his surprise, there was a small cabin ahead. He had second thoughts about it, thinking that it might be a trap. Louis didn't get the chance to explore his other options as Zayn dragged them there.

"Zayn, wait! Be careful!" Louis warned since he doesn't have the courage to pull Zayn back roughly.

They made it to the front porch where there is a roof covering it. Zayn then began knocking rapidly on the door, yelling about how they are cold and wants to go in. Louis immediately covered the younger's mouth. He gave him a quiet signal before Louis looked through the window. It was a little hard since it's dark, but it also made Louis think that the house might be empty. He tried turning the knob and to his surprised it opened. Louis popped his head in then carefully observed the place, it was empty, only an old sofa and some wooden furniture along with a small fireplace.

"Hello?" he called out with his ears perked up again to improve his hearing.

There was no answer so Louis thought it was safe to come in. He quickly ushered Zayn inside before he went in and closed the door.
