Chapter 5

"Lou, I'm hungry." Zayn whined.

"I know, Z, me too." Louis sighed.

The two have been driving for an hour and a half, hoping that they lost the threat and looking for an almost empty diner place. The whole drive wasn't that bad though, it consists of Zayn telling stories about he and his daddies and Li. Louis can feel his heart clenching at the mention of family, not just with guilt but with longing as well. Zayn tried asking Louis about his family too, oblivious of course, cause in his mind, everyone has a happy little family of their own, but Louis quickly changed the topic by playing 'I Spy'. Zayn loved the game of course, he gets to see new things and then ask Louis about it. Louis felt normal for once.

"What about that place, Lou?" Zayn asked pointing at an old unkept diner, but still looks like it's running by the looks of the two cars parked in front and Louis can see some people inside.

"I guess that's fine." Louis decided to park the car.

"Do you think they have waffles? I love waffles.." Zayn clapped.

"I'm sure they do." Louis assured before removing his seat belt.

Zayn tried to removed his own too but failed, "Stuck, Lou." he frowned.

Louis chuckled, "Alright, I'll get you." before getting out of the car and walking to Zayn. He began the process but frowned when the seat belt won't come off, "What the fuck- ow, Zayn, what the hell- ow, stop!" he said grabbing Zayn's little hand before it can smack his lips.

"Don't say bad words, Lou." Zayn tsked.

Louis raised an eyebrow at him and was about to say something until they both heard a stomach grumble and Zayn began to whine.

"Okay, okay, I'll get you out, Z." Louis said before attempting to pull the seat belt apart but still failed, "Hm, maybe there's somewhere around here that can help." he said before looking around him.

Zayn, however, is too impatient and hungry to wait and began to do it himself. He tried slip down, but there wasn't any space so he decided to try the other way. He whined when the belt began to tighten, and also the fact that his tail was squashed behind him in an uncomfortable place, since he was trying to slip his leg through it. 'Yay!' he thought once his knees made it pass, but now it was a little hard to move with his leg bend and tied around the belt. He tried to squirm a little but the stretch kinda hurts him, he didn't stop though and just tried to free himself.

Louis sighed and turned to look at Zayn, his ears perked up in alert when he saw the young hybrid close to falling on his head first, "Zayn, wait." he said before going closer to assist him.

"Almost free, Lou!" Zayn said before trying to move around to untangle himself from the belt.

Louis helped Zayn by putting his arms under Zayn's body to keep him from falling and trying to pull him out at the same time, "Free." Zayn, who is now being carried bridal style, said in triumph.

"You could've hurt yourself." the older hybrid scolded causing Zayn to lower his ears in shame.

"Sorry, Lou." he said sadly, making Louis feel bad.

"But that was really brave." Louis praised, making Zayn's face lit up and preen.

"But you also have to ask help, okay? I don't want you getting hurt." Louis said before letting Zayn down and rubbing his black cat ears, making Zayn nod and purr.

"Eat, Lou?" Zayn asked with wide eyes.

"Let's go." Louis said as he put on a beanie and some sun glasses before grabbing Zayn's hand then walking to the diner.
