Fated to Love You

1 month since Bongbong and Louise decided to end things up,she said that she fall out of love with him and it ravaged him. He can't move on,luckily his best friend Leni whom he courted before was there for him to assist and listen to him.

Leni convinced him to take a short vacation for him to think and evaluate his feelings so he decided to go home in Ilocos with her. It was 5:00 pm,Bongbong dragged Leni to the car telling her that they need to go somewhere,she was annoyed by his short notice but agreed eventually.

After 30 minutes on the road,Leni was amused - cold breeze touched her face,windmills all around,she can hear the strong current of the sea 🌊 "Wow!" She uttered exultingly.

He smiled as he looked at her face, "You like it?" He asked. She smiled and nodded. "Dpat lang! One of my favorite spots here in Ilocos... Bangui." He continued.

She started to walk and feel the seawater,amazed by the windmills,feel the strong wind and enjoy the sand with her bare foot. He looked at her with the smile of contentment on his face while he was behind her walking. When she was a few meters away from him,she stopped and turned to him. "Bong!" She called him,he looked at her. "Ang ganda ng sunset!" She exclaimed and pointed at the sky. He smiled and nodded. "Take a picture of me! Dali!" She uttered excitedly. He chuckled and took a picture of her.

After a while,he took off his slippers and sat down on it,looking blankly at the sea,he sighed. She noticed that he's ruminating,she knew that he's still hurting,she walked towards him and sat beside him. "I'm here,Bong!" She uttered while rubbing his back. He looked at her and buried his face on her neck,he started to cry. She hugged him tight and continued to rubbed his back giving him comfort.

"Ang sakit,Leni... Ang sakit sakit!" He said between his tears.

"Sige lang. You can cry... I'll hold you." She replied. It's very unusual for her to him cry like that so she did her best to give comfort.

They stayed with their position for a while,not uttering any word. When she felt his tears subsided,she just let him stayed on her neck. "You know what,I think you truly love her kasi she made you cry like this..." She said. "I believe kasi na if you make a man laugh he likes you but when you make a man cry,he loves you..." She continued,he nodded,still burying his face on her neck. "Kaya lang Bong I believe din kasi na we'll never be good enough for a person who doesn't see enough of the goodness we have... Sometimes we need to understand na kailangan din natin mag move on at mag let go para we can free a hand so you can hug and pat yourself... I know it's hard,kaya lang Bong,sometimes the person you want the most is the person you're best without."

He nodded,another tear rolled down his face. He knew that she's right,he still loves Louise but the feeling is not mutual anymore so he need to let her go. He wiped his tears. "Thank you,Leni!" He uttered and snuggled closer to her. She smiled,kissed his temple and hugged him tight.

His face stayed on her neck while hugging her through waist and she was hugging him also,he can feel the solace in her arms. "Ang ganda talaga dito,grabe!" She uttered to lighten up the mood.

"Parang ikaw..." he uttered.

She chuckled,her nostrils flared. "Hmmm... bolero!"

"Totoo kaya! Crush nga kita diba!" He countered. She laughed. "You know what,minsan iniisip ko ikaw may kasalan kung bakit brokenhearted ako eh!" He stated.

She frowned. "Ha? Bakit naman?"

"Kung sinagot mo kasi ako before eh di sana hindi ko naging girlfriend si Louise,eh di sana hindi ako umiiyak ngayon! Kasalanan mo talaga!" He explained.

"Aba! At ako pa ang sinisi mo ngayon!Buti nga sinamahan kita dito eh!" She disaffirm.

"Bakit nga kasi di mo ko sinagot? Don't you like me?" He asked and look up to her.

She sighed and look blankly at the sea. "Bong,it's like that-"

"Then why?" He cut her off.

"Mas importante kasi saakin yung friendship natin... alam ko kasi na dito we can have our forever... a lifetime..." she uttered softly still looking at the sea.

"We can have our forever naman kahit we are in a relationship eh. Leni,we can make it work... Just trust me..." He replied. She didn't respond. "You know what,when I told my Mom that I will be pursuing you,she was so excited. She even told me that I should marry you... Alam mo naman na mas paborito ka nun!" He chuckled.

She chuckled. "Si tita talaga!"

"Tapos pati sya heartbroken when I told her na hindi mo ko sinagot..." He continued. She smiled sadly.

"I love you,Leni..." he uttered and kissed her neck as he snuggled closer to her,hugging her tighter. She didn't respond and just kissed his temple hugging him tighter.

They stayed there for a while until she notices that it's already 7:30 pm. She patted his arm,"let's go,gabi na..."

He looked at their surrounding and it's already evening,he withdrew from the hug,she stood up and offered her hand to him which he accepted. When she turn around,ready to leave he held her hand. "Leni..."

She turned around,he abruptly cupped her face and kissed her lips,she was shocked 😳 She looked at him,his eyes closed then she felt his lips moving,she closed her eyes and started to reciprocate his move,feeling the taste of his lips. She felt butterflies swarming her stomach,she felt the wind blew colder as shiver traveled across her spine.

He carefully withdrew from the sentimental kiss,pressed his forehead against hers and looked at her eyes. "I love you,Leni..." He uttered breathlessly.

She smiled sweetly at him,cupped his face and kissed him quickly. "I love you too..."

He smiled and hugged her tightly. "I love you... I love you so much!" He kissed her temple. She smiled.

They withdrew from the hug and walked towards their car,hands entwined.
