Day off

"Grandparents day pala sa Sunday..." Leni uttered randomly as she was scrolling through her social media accounts.

"And?" Bongbong asked as he was sitting beside her watching basketball.

"Nothing. Namimiss ko lang si Natalia." She replied a bit sad. He looked at her,he remembered that she haven't seen her in a while.

"Then,let's visit her..." He uttered. She smiled and nodded. He kissed her forehead.

The next day, Bongbong called Gail,Leni's niece and the mother of Natalia. "Hi! Gail!"

"Hello po,Tito! Napatawag po kayo?" She replied.

"Ahh. Gail can I ask you a favor? Your Tita Leni kasi told me that she misses Natalia... I was just thinking if we could surprise her since it's grandparents day on Sunday." He plotted the plot.

"Ay sige po! No problem Tito!" Gail agreed.

Early Sunday morning,Bongbong woke up earlier than usual to prepare a special breakfast. "Mahal?" He uttered softly while stroking her hair. "Mahal,wake up! Breakfast is ready!"

She slowly opened her eyes and smiled at him. He kissed her lips,she giggled. He surprisingly carried her from bed,she gasped. "Mahal! Ano ba!" She giggled. He didn't put her down and lead her to the table where the prepared breakfast is ready.

After breakfast,she immediately prepared for she will be having her Metro Laylayan Visit but little did she know that Tricia,Jillian,Gail together with Natalia were already inside the condo ready to surprise her with cake and balloons.

When she opened the bathroom door,"Surprise! Happy Grandparents Day!" Everyone cheered in unison. Leni's eyes widened as she saw her daughters,her niece and of course Natalia. She was so happy seeing them again,she missed them so much. She was unable to speak as she let it sank to her what's happening,she started to cry due to happiness.

"Thank you! Thank you! Ano ba yan,naiyak tuloy ako!" She said between her tears as she hugged them one by one.

"Mama naman,parang bata!" Jillian joked,everyone laughed.

"Natalia!" Leni exclaimed as she give Natalia hugs and kisses.

"Happy Grandparents day,Lola Leni!" She uttered and handed a letter.

"Ahhh... thank you! I love you!" Leni hugged and kissed her again,wiping her tears.

Leni immediately changed her clothes and cancelled all her appointments telling her staff that it's 'day off' and that they should take some rest.

They spent the whole day together,laughing and sharing stories relating them. Leni help Natalia with her coloring books,she literally enjoyed being with her granddaughter. Bongbong saw the genuine happiness in Leni's eyes,he felt fulfilled.

When everyone bid their goodbyes,Leni looked at Bongbong,smiling. "Thank you,Mahal!"

"For what?" He asked.

"For doing these... For everything..." She explained vaguely.

He smiled,pulling her waist closer to him and wrapped her arms. "Anything for you,Mahal..."

She leaned closer and initiated a sweet kiss. "I love you,Mahal!"

"I love you too,Mahal!" He uttered after the sweet kiss.

When they were settled on their bed,Leni wear her glasses as she started reading Natalia's letter for her:

Dear Lola Leni,

Happy Grandparents Day! Thank you for taking care of me and Tita Jillian and Tita Tricia and Ninang Aika. Thank you also for always bringing me my favorite chocolate. Thank you for teaching me how to count until 100 and thank you for always reading my favorite story. I love you,Lola. I wish that you and Lolo Bongbong have your own baby so that I can have a playmate. I love you,Lola!

Leni's tears started to roll down her face as she finished reading the letter although she smirked as she read the last line. She found it cute and sweet as she saw Natalia's handwritten.

Bongbong went out of the bathroom and saw her taking off her glasses and wiping her drenched cheeks. "What happened,Mahal?"

She looked at him and show him Natalia's letter. "Ang sweet ni Natalia!" He smiled and sit beside her,he held her close and kissed her temple. "Basahin mo,Mahal!" She handed him the letter,he started to read it.

He chuckled as soon as he finished reading, "Nakakatuwa naman si Natalia. She wanted to have a playmate!"

She laughed. "Oo nga eh! Ang cute!"

"O,what are we waiting for Mahal?" He uttered.

"Ha?" She frowned,a bit lost.

"Let's give Natalia what she want..." He hinted her. "A playmate." He continued seductively.

She chuckled and playfully shoved his face. "Ewan ko sa'yo! Matulog kana!" She lie down the bed,her back facing him. He chuckled and rest beside her,hugging her from the back.

"Mahal..." He uttered after a while.

"Hmmm... Matulog kana." She mumbled.

"Gawa tayo ng playmate..." He whispered through her ears.

She chuckled and patted his arm which surrounds her waist. "Matulog kana,Mahal!"

He chuckled,kissed her shoulders and hugged her tightly. They closed their eyes and sleep 😴
