"H-hey, Paolo..."
h-huh?
"Paolo, wake up. You .. you're gonna be seen by... " the guy from my right woke me up. I really don't know who he was but he was talking about how awesome I play when I do. I kinda get that a lot. Poor thing I forgot the last guy's name, he was kinda nice to me. I fell asleep in my chair. I kinda stayed up too late thinking about Yuki Morimoto, even if Allan told me to knock it off.
I just can't stand to think of her every now and then.
But Allan always says that it's just the 'thoughts that result from static that just clings'.
I never knew that Allan could bring up those wise words. He really is a peculiar man.
He's really one of the school honors back at Windy City. It really is unfair to judge a man by what he mostly does after all.
And besides, I've already knew everything that the miss in red , long hair is talking about. Pretty much all the girls do look like the same here in the kingdom - they are all fair skinned people, no matter how hardy their insides might be.
I guess I'll just tuck in again and -
"You! The snoozer at the back!" She suddenly blasted at me.
Oh, great. She noticed me. I replied back, but I'm still on my tucked, sleeping position. "Yes?"
"What do you think this club is? Heh, I bet you don't even know what my name is." She chuckled proudly.
I got the sense that everyone's looking at me, so I put my head up and faced her. "I'm sorry miss Lorraine Dufont. I'm still sleepy for yesterday."
Ooh, she looks surprised when she saw my face. Heh, you're expecting someone different, aren't ya?
"Heh, If it wasn't Paolo. I just thought that you're good with sticks and drums." She taunted.
Hey! I'm an achiever too , you -
"Why the hell do you think you can pass this club, huh?" She taunted again.
You know what? I don't care. You know I'm gonna pass anyway. There aren't any topic that I can't fail... well except for love but ... this aint love. This is something much more .. simple.
"I don't need to prove myself." I arrogantly replied. "Especially to you."
This club is boring. They taunt you for no reason ... I bet she can't handle those words to action. I don't wanna fight anyone here, they're not worth it.
I stood up. I think I'll just stick with the music team or something. This girl are really picking on -
"Hey, where you think you're going?" She pointed at me again.
I just looked at her again.
Not worth it, Says my mind again.
I just looked outside and walked towards it, but I was stopped by another taunt.
"Tell you what, you make me fall down this floor." She points out to the platform that's covered with ma soft mattress used for martial arts. I dunno what that thing was called because we don't use them in our Karatedo Dojo. hard floor is what you will get there.
"What's in it for me?" I said.
She boldly replied. "You can become an officer in this club. If not, then you're out of this club, forever."
Not worth it. I looked away again to finally leave the room.
"What's the matter, Paolo? Afraid to hit a girl? You're that kind of a chicken, huh?" She laughed.
"Heh, " I chuckled back. "You might wanna shut up a bit. You haven't done your research , havent you?" I challenged .
"Oh yes. I know who you are. You like to hit drums with sticks!" She laughed even more.
I laughed. "Your research is not enough. you haven't researched the martial arts history of Windy City." I get my eyes to get serious. "And you're taunting one of its traditional Cajun Experts."
Her excitement and cockiness(if there ever was a word) dropped. "C-cajun?"
I walked towards her. "Oh yes. You know that art , do you? The art of hurting a lot of people in a matter of seconds. And the grandmaster herself taught me that. Well ... except boxing . "
Oh my, she's in a state of shock.
I readied my Cajun stance. The stance just made her fear me even more, based on what I'm seeing through her eyes.
I can sense her fear, but she challenged me. So... she better get ready.
"Let's play, Lorraine." I smiled. But she didn't smile back. She returned with a weak Karate stance.
Alright. You're gonna get it, miss Dufont. You're gonna get it real bad.
