(Kate's POV)
Candice's words were like gunfires shot straight at me! She could have been pertaining to Samantha but it still feels like a stray bullet destined to hit me.
How could she say that?! I mean, how could she judge someone without even trying to fit in their shoes?
I was honestly caught off-guard with it! Wasn't expecting to hear those words from someone dear to me. But why does it have to be you, Candice?!
Then, reality stroke me hard when the possibility that Sherri could have the same stand as Candice. No! No freaking way!
Bago paman tuluyang mahawaan ni Candice si Sherri sa pagiging judgmental nito ay dapat umaksyon na ako.
"P-paano mo naman nasasabi yan, Sweetie? I mean, pano mo nalaman?" tanong ni Sherri dito.
"Dahil narinig ko silang dalawa mismo nung enrollment para sa pasukan na ito. Papasok ako nun sa toilet ng second floor nang marinig ko sila. Akala siguro nila walang taong pupunta dun kaya hindi sila mindful sa mga sinasabi nila. Umiiyak si Samantha. Parang nagmamakaawa kay Girly na patawarin sya."
"And? Yun lang?"
"What did you hear exactly?" I asked.
" Sabi ni Samantha na mahal na mahal daw nya si Girly kaya sana pagbigyan na sya that time. Eto namang si Girly sabi eh hindi daw ganun kadali kasi mahirap na naman umasa dahil itatakwil na naman sya ulit ni Samantha. Hintay daw muna sila ng tamang oras upang masigurado lang ni Samantha yung nararamdaman nya."
Napabuntong-hininga si Sherri. I just hope she'd just be asking questions because if it would worst than that, I wasnt sure if I could handle listening to her.
"But how did you know exactly it was them?" I asked again.
"Dahil naririnig ko sa kanila. Sinasabi naman nila ang pangalan ng isa't-isa at binantayan ko sila. Hinintay ko din silang bumaba to make sure it was really them. And yes it was really them. Ang pula pa nga ng ilong at mata ni Samantha nun eh."
Then, I guess there's no use asking more questions. Candice was really sure about what she heard and what she saw. The more questions I throw, the more painful the words she could blabber.
After lunch, I excused myself to go to the library. Well, this time, not to study or even watch Sherri but to think over the things I need to do.
I was done with the first gift and even with the first thing to be done which kinda failed as she was sick and had no energy to even notice my messages and calls. Now, let's move on to the next part of the plan!

As soon as the bell rang for dismissal, I immediately gave Sherri a short ring on her mobile just for her to notice me. Nagmessage kasi ako kanina bago matapos ang huling subject namin sa araw na ito pero wala pa din akong natanggap na reply mula dito at hindi ko din napapansin na hinahawakan nya ang selfon nya.
Well, Kate, you fall for a smart ass, what would you expect?
But even the missed call wasn't effective! Malamang naka-silent ito dahil nasa loob pa sya ng paaralan kaya hindi nya pa din ito mapapansin. I have no other but to just follow her and cross my fingers for some luck!
Agad akong lumapit sa kanila ni Candice. Mabuti nalang at nauna si Chloe umalis. Hindi ko kailangang mag-suffer sa pakikipag-usap sa kanya. I dont know why pero hindi pa din ako sanay na kausap at kaharap sya.
