Y/N's POV

I'm outside the changing rooms waiting on Zoe and Louise. They're picking out dresses for some upcoming events, the closest being my birthday.

Zoe comes out wearing a white flowy dress that hits the top of her knees

"ZO! You look like a princess.." I could never pull off a dress like that. I just don't have the confidence

Louise than follows with a light pink dress a little shorter than the length of Zoe's

"That's a keeper!" Zoe comments and Louise agrees.

"YOUR TURN!" They shout in unison.

With 'much enthusiasm' you went to pick out a dress. You saw one you liked, grabbed it and headed past the girls to the changing rooms.

You looked at yourself for a while in the dressing-room mirror. You weren't sure how to feel. For once in your life it had felt as though you've conquered all depression or horrid thoughts. Like you finally saw yourself as a beautiful woman who actually looked GOOD in a dress?!

But it didn't last. You doubted yourself. There was no way on earth you could actually look good. That's not a thing. There was a voice telling you it was all lies. That you've felt this way for so long, that your brain just wanted you to be happy. Of course you looked awful!

You keep yourself from happiness way too often

You open the door..

Silence.

"It's bad isn't it?..."

Zoe and Louise continue to stand there. But now with shocked facial expressions.

"SAY SOMETHING!"

"Gorgeous!"

"Beautiful!!"

"I'm legit Jelous. Did you actually think for a second you looked bad?"

You stand in awe. Maybe for once-

finally for once...

You were done. You were right. You did keep yourself from happiness. You were wrong about which voice was lying.

You shot a warm smile at Zoe and Louise and you all picked out a few more dresses.

Y/N's POV
After this we headed to the food court in the mall for lunch before heading back to our house with Louise to greet Tanya.

We grabbed our food and my fruit smoothie and headed to a table. Louise and Zoe sit across from you.

"So about Mr. Daniel Howell..."

"yeah?" I asked. There was something in me that wanted to squeal and tell them everything.

...What had shopping done to me?

"How did it go? Did you talk a lot? Are you besties?" Louise says/sings from across the table.

I just looked at her. Maybe it'd be a mistake if I told them me and Dan almost kissed. Or how much we messed with each other. It was probably bigger in my head than in reality anyways.

"She's hiding something" Zoe says to Louise while starring into my eyes. Afraid Phil would see right through me? Yeah right. Zoe could practically read my mind, she's the one I should be afraid of. Damn best friend's...

"Okay fine." I spill out everything. I told them how I thought Dan may have been starring at me, how he tickled me, when he iced my face... I left out the movie part though. If they found out, I don't know how they'd react.

They'd have a frikin' parade.

Louise looked thrilled. But Zoe just stared at you. Squinting her eyes. Oh no...

"Ha! You guys are so cute I think Dan likes you too" she winks and gets up to get a napkin

Zoe mouths to me... "tell me later."

What the hell! I nod in shame and Louise comes back.

"Sure I'm crushing on Dan Howell, that doesn't mean he likes me back" I say. Conversation stops and Louise opens her eyes wide and smiles

"YOU LIKE DAN HOWELL!!?"

I turn around and see Tanya practically choking in her drink.

"What are you doing here?" I say and look back at Zoe and Louise

"We were trying to surprise you" Zoe says as she and Louise giggles.

Tanya shows us the outfits she got.

And we head on home.
