Y/N's party pt.3

"Hello everyone!" Zoe says into one of the mics and the room grows quiet "I'm not exactly the host for this station today- that job is for Louise. But I'm very excited to announce the first performance!!"

Zoe winks at someone in the crowd and Tanya stands up and pulls some people to the side for drinks and food

Phil's POV
I mean
I didn't think I was really in the mood to eat but ok

"So it's time to really get the party going with some KARAOKEEE!" Zoe shouts and people start clapping

"Now who should go first..." She mocks while starring at Y/N

"I think the birthday girl should go first!" Louise shouts from the front crowd

"Read my mind, Chummy" Zoe says while pulling Y/N up to the stage. Everyone starts cheering and clapping, excited to hear her do the first performance.

"But obviously to start this party off right we need a little something more. Because what karaoke party would be right without a Troye and Gabriella moment?" Zoe remarks and gets a cold stare from Y/N

" ...Or more of a Sharpay and Ryan moment, that's fine too" Zoe saves herself and everyone laughs.

"You're talking a duet?" Y/N smiles

"Exactly" Zoe grins

"Well boys, line up for the worst moment of your life" Y/N says in an exaggerated voice and does a fake pose, getting another joined laugh from all their friends

plus a smile and head shake from a specific someone whom it meant the most to her

"Now what boy do we volunteer?" Zoe looks at all their friends. There's only so much time for some people to go get food and drinks. They're slacking and Tanya won't be able to hold up for that much longer

"Well if this performance can be anything close to his dis-track, I think we can consider ourselves lucky. How about it Dan?" Zoe Gestures

He looks shocked and nervous

"Scared Hobbit Hair?" Y/N giggles and taunts while looking deeply into his brown eyes.

"Oooooooh" everyone reacts to her sassy remark and start chanting for him to sing

Though It's possible if he gets on stage with her, Y/N's heart could beat faster than she could handle

Louise gives him a shove up and on the platform and everyone cheers

"What song?" Louise asks

Y/N and Dan do a little huddle. Little do the others know most of their time isn't used deciphering what song to sing but rather agreeing how silly this all is. But soon they turn around.

"This Is Gospel, P!ATD" they say simultaneously and the crowd gives positive feedback

"Now remember guys, we don't judge.." Zoe says "yeah... unless it's really bad. No I'm kidding!!" Louise adds on. And now it's just the two on the stage.

The others who left for refreshments are back to watch the show, Phil seems amused

Throughout the song there's little spins and turns and they seem to be having fun. Y/N looks at Dan

~truth be told I never was yours~

she quickly turns away. Because what if it's true? Some things just aren't meant to be and feelings she has for Dan could easily be crushed any minute by the looks of their situation.

Dan can't help but smile at Y/N every now and then. He can pretty much barely keep his eyes off her.

~the fear of falling apart~

his smile is dropping because that's a fear Dan has to live with. Everyday, there are times like these, on this stage when he could lose everything. What people might think of him if he 'went for Phils sister', his friendship with Phil, his friendship with Y/N because (to him) she 'clearly doesn't feel the same way' and now he's blown it.

But when they look back at each other it's as if none of that matters

And that's how the rest of the night goes.
