A/N: (Tbh, I don't remember the timeline EXACTLY, but with this skip Maddie has been in the hospital for almost three months now.)

Y/N's POV

I wake up with a pair of arms around me. I feel so comfortable now with Dan. He's really mine. Now that Phil is okay with everything it's become so... real. We think that later today is possibly when we can finally tell all our friends. (Since only Louise and Joe also knew- and we're hitting our 3 month mark)

But first we have other things to attend to. Today would be my 4th time seeing Maddie and Dan was coming with me once again.

I roll over and look at my tall hobbit with a single curl that had formed perfectly down to his eye. I snuggle into him and sweep the hair from his face. Sighing calmly

"Hey beautiful." he says opening his eyes and securing his grip around me

"Hey there," I smile and he moves down a bit to kiss my forehead. "We have to get ready."

"But.. I'm.. so.... Lazy" he pouts

"I am too, but today is a big day."

He gives me a questioning look. Furrowing his eyebrows.

"Visit Maddie, collaboration with a bunch of our friends and then..." I stretch out my sentence and wait for Dan to catch on to the fact that we're telling our friends we're together today.

"Oh yeah!" He giggles.

"You doofus." I say getting out of Dan's bed and heading to the bathroom

"Fine! I'll get up but only because I love you."

"I hate you too."

He gasps and then exclaims... "Well fuck me then."

"Some day!" I yell before shutting the door... some day

I take a look at my scruffy curls in the mirror. Place my charm bracelet gently around my wrist once more and turn back to Dan.

"I can't believe you're convincing me to embrace this look" I say, grabbing my phone and walking towards him with my hands on my hips

"I know. How dare I allow you to be this beautiful? I'm insane!" He says holding my waist and hugging me from behind as we both look into his full body mirror

"Okay okay. I think I get it-"

"No seriously. This adorableness hurts my soul."

"I didn't know you had a soul" I comment looking back up at him as he turns me around

"You seem to be only one who can bring it out of me." He smirks

"Well clearly this has to end- your soul is giving me horrible life advice." I say walking away, dragging Dan behind by the hand as I do.

Dan's POV

I shake my head as Y/N drags me out of my room and into the lounge where Phil is waiting. It amazes me how she doesn't see her own beauty. But I'd never stop convincing her how great she is until she met the truth. She's one in a billion and the fact she chose me is unbelievable in the first place. I'm a nobody without her.

We all leave the apartment and get in her car as she starts driving towards the hospital. She's gotten more used to coming there these days. I still feel horrible for her and her friend. But I just know Maddie has to come out of it soon. She just... just has to.

We all walk towards the room and the nurse outside Maddie's room door tells us a lot has... changed since yesterday.

Oh no.

Y/N's face immediately drops. I try to snap her out of her trance but it's to late and she's headed for the door.

"Y/N....Y/N wait... Y/N!!" I try to get her to stop while me and Phil chase after her. But it's too late,

"Maddie?!!" She calls bursting through the door

"... Surprize!"
