Y/N's POV

Louise and Tanya left not too long after breakfast and I knew I had to talk to Zoe now

"You have some explaining to do!" Zoe shouts and taunts about 2 seconds after Louise and Tanya exit.

"About what?" Joe suddenly says emerging from his bedroom.

"About Mister, Dan Howell" Zoe replies

"Eww. Girl drama.

-but if you don't tell me everything, I will hurt you" Joe finishes giving me an eyebrow raise

They sit me down on the couch and get ready to listen closely as I spill. I need to spill out everything I told the girls to Joe. Trying not to go into much detail (just like I did with the girls).

"Oh but there's something more. Isn't there?" Zoe says giving me a devious smile

"Yeah we-"

"He gave her his number!" Zoe tells Joe whilst cutting me off mid sentence.

That's when it had occurred to me that Zoe thought the big secret I didn't tell her was that I got his number somehow. I was honestly relieved. No one needed to know the truth right now.

"Ye- yes. Yeah." I say shortly following up on Zoe

"Okay. What makes that so special?"

Uh oh

"Well it's obviously something if she was willing to hide it from us.." Zoe looks away from her brother and up at me

UH OH. If they find out I'm lying. I'm doomed.

"When we were at the mall I tool out my make-up bag and saw something fall off of it. Something I hadn't noticed I brought with me and my bag. It was a note

He wrote the note while I was sleeping, and left it with my things I guess...? It had his number on it and he said I could text him whenever." I explained. I had a feeling they'd catch me in my lie as it wasn't exactly an exciting/intimate story. Plus I had to change the story so that it happened yesterday and not today. But I wasn't expecting their reaction.

Zoe stood there. Practically hyperventilating. Joe got up, walked away, and came back.

"WHAT!!??!!!" Joe yelled and took a few deep breaths..

"He did what now?" He follows up

"What do you mean?"

"Y/N... Dan would practically stay in one spot all day if he could" Zoe says

"He's lazier than you!" Joe yells once more

"What are you getting at?" I am very confused

"You're telling us that Dan stopped whatever he was doing..."

"Found a pen and paper-"

"Walked up to the office and and wrote you a note, with his number on it, just to make sure you didn't leave without it?" Zoe finishes

"As a guy Y/N, just saying, plus from all the stories... he really cares about you." Joe says sincerely

When I think about it. I know that their exaggerating... But maybe they're right.
