The date

Robbie picked me up and we went to the movies. He let me pick the movie and bought popcorn and pop. We took a seat and waited for the movie to start. He looked at me, "I'm really glad you agree to go out with me."

My cheeks turned a faint pink and I couldn't help but smile. As the movie started, we got comfortable and dug into the popcorn. To my surprise, he was actually quite the gentleman.

After the movie we went and got a burger. It was low key which I liked. We talked and laughed and I actually had a good time. Imagine that.

As we enjoyed our date, a couple of girls came up to us, "Hey Robbie."

"Hey, Cherisse," he greeted her.

"So, I'm having a party this Friday. Why don't you come?"

"I don't know Cherisse," he said hesitantly. "I think I might be busy." He turned and looked at me.

"Why don't you bring her with you then?" She added.

He looked at me, "It's up to you."

"Um, sure," I said with hesitation.

"Great, we'll see you both then." They walked away giggling about something.

"A party? The last party I went to, I had punch dumped on my head," I said to him.

"Well, if it's lame, we can always leave and do something else," he offered.

"I guess," I sighed.

"Now, let's forget about the party and get back to our date, shall we?"

I couldn't help but think about this party though. I don't know why, but I had a sense of dread about it.

After we ate, he took me home and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I felt a little let down. I figure he would kiss me on the lips, but he just wished me good night and got back into his car. Maybe he was taking it slow?

"A party?! Isn't it bad enough, you went out with him on a date," Braydon huffed? I knew he would be irked when he found out I went out with Robbie.

"Well, if you're so worried, why don't you come with us," I suggested.

"Come with who," Robbie asked, walking up.

"Braydon concerns about the party so I suggested he come with us," I said casually.

He shot Braydon a look, "Really? Are you that bugged by the fact that Molly may actually have a good time with me that you have to weasel yourself into our plans?"

"I aren't weaseling anywhere, she offered and I'm accepting. Afraid of a little competition?"

Oh good god, were these two really fighting over me?

"Nope, because I know I'm the better pick."

"Pft, in your dreams," Braydon countered.

"Want to take it outside," Robbie challenged him.

"Any day, any time," Braydon countered.

"Guys! Stop it," I yelled and they both looked at me. "Look, we are all going together. So, I suggest you both get along or I'll just stay home, alone."

After that, I walked away. What has gotten into those two?

"Is everything all set," Devin asked Cherisse.

"Yep, they bought it hook, line and sinker."

"Good, I can't wait," he said.

"What you are going to do," Randy asked.

"Nothing you need to be concerned about. All you have to do is show up and enjoy the show. Don't forget to bring a video camera. I want to make sure we get all on film."

With that, he walked away.

After class, I opened my locker to find another note.

'Beware of false friends and protect yourself.'

What the heck was that supposed to mean? Who the heck keeps putting these notes in my locker? I shoved the note in my bag and headed home.

Once I was home and in my room, I pulled out a box under my bed and tossed the note into it before putting it back. Between Frick and Frack fighting over me and the mysterious notes showing up in my locker, this was turning into a very weird Senior year.

I heard the doorbell and went to see who it was. The minute I opened it, Braydon crashed his lips into mine taking me by surprise. He closed the door with his foot picked me up, carrying me to the couch. We both fell into the couch as his lips attacked mine.

A slight moan escaped my lips, causing him to smile against them.

"I like that I can make you moan."

My cheeks promptly heated up. I looked at him, "Dare I ask why you are here?"

"Can't friends kiss?"

"No," I answered.

"Okay then, how about two people who really like each other?"

I sighed, "What happened to let me decide if I like you or not?"

"Call me impatient."

"Braydon," I started to say.

"Molly, I know I said I would give you some time, but I really like you."

"What about Robbie?"

"What about him? As I see it, we are perfect for each other."

"And what if Robbie and I were perfect for each other?"

"Then he would be here right now, claiming what is his, now wouldn't he?"

Okay, he had a point, but I still wasn't sure who I liked more. There was something about each of them I liked. But when it came to kissing, Braydon was more passionate whereas Robbie was more sweet; decisions, decisions, decisions.

I don't know. At this point, I was more confused than ever. I wasn't sure who I wanted.

All week I got to either listen to them bicker about me or they couldn't keep their hands or their lips to themselves. Any time I was alone with either one of them it became a full-on make-out session. I think they were trying to get me to decide who was the better guy.

They both were making it hard for me to decide to be honest.

At school was worse, every time I turned around one of them was pulling me into a closet or they both sat with me at lunch. I was starting to miss my makeshift lunch table in the janitor's closet.

The classroom was also ridiculous. They would force kids out their seat just to sit next to me. I knew at some point I would have to make a decision. The only problem was someone already would be making that decision for me.

Friday finally arrived and so did the party. I opened my front door to find them both waiting for me. Something deep down in my gut nagged at me to stay home. I should have listened.
