I know this book seemed a little more dark than most of the books I have written, but I wanted to address the topic of rape. Not just rape, but date rape. Every day a girl or guy is sexually assaulted by someone they know.
Most rape victims do not come forward because they are either scared or ashamed. Rape is not about love. It is not about sex. It is about power, nothing more, nothing less.
While this is a fictional piece of work, this does happen in real life. If you or you know anyone that has been a victim of sexual assault, please be supportive and encourage them to seek help.
I'm hoping by telling Molly's story, it will help people.
Writing this was extremely difficult, but I wanted to write it in a sensitive manner to help people understand.
