You ever have one of those days where you wish you didn't have to do something you didn't really want to do? Yep, that was one of those days for me.
"It'll be fine Molly."
"Robbie it will not be fine."
"It will."
"You're just overthinking it."
"Overthinking what," Hunter asked as he and Braydon walked up.
"Dinner at my house," he answered.
Braydon and Hunter looked at each other, then Braydon asked, "Were you dropped on your head as a baby?"
"No, well, at least I don't think so, that's not the point."
"Pray say what is the point. The fact that she is having dinner with your family or the fact that she is having dinner with her rapist's family," Hunter asked him.
We all looked at him. Leave it to Hunter to point out the obvious.
"Can we look past the fact that my worthless brother is rotting in jail and won't even be there?" Robbie snapped. Yeah, he hated to be constantly reminded what Randy did as much as I did. Raven was the same way. Just the mention of Randy sent his blood boiling.
Hunter shrugged.
Robbie turned to me, "Look, it's just dinner. Raven and I will be there. Mom and dad won't mention anything about what happened. They're just relieved that you even agreed to this. Please, Molly," he begged.
I sighed, "Fine, but only because you and Raven will be there. One mention about, you know who and I'm leaving."
"You got it," he smiled.
I was still uneasy about this dinner. Being with Raven was one thing. He usually hung out with me at my house but to go to his house after everything was a completely different story. Let's just hope I can get through this dinner with very little problems.

We all sat at the table quietly. Talk about awkward. I did get looks from their parents as we all ate."So, Molly, how is school going for you," their dad asked.
"Um, it's good."
"Have you decided on any colleges?" Their mom asked.
"Yeah, actually I have. I'm deciding between Eastern and State."
"That's good, we were hoping the boys would go off to school at some point," she said.
Robbie and Raven clank their silverware against their plates.
"What?" She asked. I noticed the tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife.
"Mom, just stopped."
"Raven what has gotten into you?" She asked with an upset tone.
"Molly came for dinner not to be hammered with questions or other things." He snapped at her.
Her face went crestfallen.
"Raven doesn't speak to your mother like that," his father ordered.
"Why? You do!"
"Raven come on man."
"Robbie I'm sick and tired of them always pretending to be this happy family in front of people only for it to change the minute were alone. No wonder Randy is so fucked up," he snapped. We all sat there in shock. I had never seen Raven so angry before. It actually scared me.
