Chapter Seven

Luke's POV

I returned to my home with a smile on my face. I never thought I would be this happy. I never felt this happiness before. Mum was right. When you find your mate, you'd be the happiest wolf in the world. Well, mothers know best.

They were still playing when I entered myself at the playroom. Jake is still losing to my mum. Becca's still teasing him for losing. Greg and Paul are laughing with mum. I bet they're just playing with Jake again. Poor Jake, he doesn't know it.

"Son, she doesn't know yet, does she?" Mum suddenly asked me.

"No." A simple answer from me.

"Why?" She asked again.

"Well, he's afraid of losing her on the process of telling her the truth. She might runaway from him. He's afraid she'll get scared." Becca butted in.

I growled at her and made a straight face to look at my mother. Becca just made a face on me and crossed her arms like a child she is. My mom on the other hand was not disappointed at all. Of course, she was not proud either. She just smiled at me and continued the game with Jake.

I've been thinking about what to say to Ellie about what we truly are. We are still human but we do have special abilities. But I don't know how to break it to her without getting her scared of us, of me. It's not as if we eat people. We just turn into a giant wolf. That's all. And me being the alpha of our clan and she being my mate and the Luna of the clan. It's complicated. I don't know how to say these things to her.

"Son, one way or another, she'll know. It's better if the word came from you." Mum said. "You need to claim her before another alpha does."

"I know, mum. I know."

I just don't know how to do it.

Ellie's POV

The day is good. Good vibes sa lahat. Maaga akong nagising ngayon para magluto. Good mood ako kaya mas sinarapan ko pa ang pagluluto ko. Nagtataka man pero hindi na lang pinansin ni tiyang ang inaasal ko ngayon. Hindi nga rin siya nagtanong kung bakit ganito ako ngayon. Hinayaan niya lang ako sa kung ano ang ginagawa ko.

"Oy, good ka ngayon Elle, ha. May boyfriend ka na nu?" Komento ng pinsan ko.

"Wala. Maganda lang gising ko. Dun ka na lang nga. Naiistorbo mo pagluluto ko, eh." Sagot ko sa kanya.

Humagikgik naman ang pinsan ko habang lumalayo sa kin. Hindi ko talaga gusto tong pinsan ko. Nagbubulaho lang, eh. May mga side comments pang nalalaman wala namang ginagawa maghapon. Kaya palagi siyang napapagalitan siya ni tiyang. Ewan ko ba sa taong yon, ayaw tumulong sa nanay niya.

Pagkatapos ko sa pagluluto, agad na akong naligo at nagbihis para makapunta na ng school. Sinuot ko yong bigay sa kin na kwentas ni Luke at nag-ayos ng konti sa sarili para naman maging maganda ako sa paningin ng iba lalo na kay Luke.

Nung nakarating naman ako sa school, hindi ko alam pero parang tinitignan ako ng mga tao. Or imagination ko lang to. Pero kasi sinusundan nila ako ng tingin. Ang hirap lang kasi balewalain. Hindi ako sanay. May mga babaeng pinandidilatan ako may mga lalaking yumuyako kapag nakikita ako at may mga babaeng sinasaan ako ng tingin. Ano bang problema nila sa kin? Hindi ko nga sila kilala, eh. Buti na lang mabilis kong nakita si Becca kaya tumakbo na lang ako patungo sa kanila para makaiwas sa mga titig ng mga tao. Nakakailang kasi.

"Becca!" Tawag ko sa kanya.

"Ellie! You look beautiful." Sabi niya sa kin.
