Slowly, I stumbled through the messy, congested hallways, the rain had come unexpectedly and everyone was trying to keep dry as if acid was falling from the heavens and their veins were laid bare on the bones, not to be touched.

I stood stiffly by the glass doors looking outside as the rain danced in the puddles outside, waiting for Hunter to arrive. He was later than usual, maybe it was one of his ditch days. “So, who are we waiting for?” I heard from behind me as I jumped at the sound quickly clamping my fists as I did so. “What th- Oh you dipshit, I was looking for you.” I chuckled as I hugged Hunter, moving his wet hair from his face.

“Let’s go have some fun, everyone is fearful of the rain but I happen to love it and so do you, let’s go…” he smiled tugging on my hand as he pulled me forward, “Hunter w-wait-” I muttered incoherently as he opened the door and a cold breeze came through crudely hitting my skin, but before I knew it I was outside and my skin was glistening with the water falling from it and the low light dawning upon us. “Oh my God! That’s so cold you’re crazy!” I rumbled walking back to the door as I got pulled back into the rain, and lifted up. “Hunter!” I laughed unable to hold my straight face as his hands dug deep into my sides. “You’re such a girl, ‘Hunter’…” he laughed mimicking my voice as I hit his head with a chuckle. “Shut up, are you happy now we’re soaked and my hair is ruined.” I mumbled as he put me down with a smirk, “Well babe, to be honest I did you a favour there.” He chuckled as I stared blankly at him and his laughter died down, “…I should run shouldn’t I?”

“Mhm.” I answered nodding my head as he sped off and I ran after him jumping on his back slapping his cheeks. “Ow, Okay o-kay. You got me!” he managed to bring out between fits of laughter as I jumped off his back and the school bell went off. “Whoops, don’t want to be late smarty pants. Can’t lose that perfect attendance now can we.” He spoke up as we made our way to the door. “Dido dipshit, I’ll see you later.” I smiled as I walked to the door drying my hair, immediately stationary in my tracks as I got dragged to the boys’ locker rooms. “What the fuck! Let me go Niall!” I yelled as he threw me into the room and I landed on the bench, now facing the rest of the boys who were all casually waiting my arrival.

“The fuck’s this?” I snarled as Louis sniggered shaking his head, slowly leaning closer to me with his arms folded placing a hand on my leg, slowly digging his nails into it.

“You’ve got to learn some manners okay sweetheart,” he said darkly as I rolled my eyes dusting his hand off me and Niall stepped in cracking his knuckles slowly, “Fucking touch me again and you’ll be sorry.” I threatened pushing him away as I stood up walking for the door, but got stopped. “Watch your language little girl. Just because we saved you once doesn’t mean we won’t hurt you too.” Niall muttered putting his hand firmly around my arm pushing me to the door. I raised my hand to slap him when Liam stood up and with the flick of his wrist his switch blade was out and against my neck, the cold metal against my skin, sharp enough to cut through a tomato with one hit. I gulped slowly, almost ready to scream, but lost my voice somewhere in the process. “Not so tough now are we?” Liam whispered down at me as I merely looked at him.

“That’s enough. Step away.” I heard Harry’s deep voice make its way into the room and almost immediately they were all back at their places as when I had come in. It was as if he had controlled them all, was it respect or something more. He had to have something they didn’t if he was this controlling over them. “Harry, I wanted to speak to you why’d you le-” I was about to ask as I walked towards him and Zayn stopped me dead in my tracks. “That’s close enough.”

I sighed rolling my eyes at their behavior, as if I was any threat. “Why did you leave yesterday, I needed to speak to you?”

“I thought I told you to leave Hunter alone. Why are you deliberately disobeying me?” he asked grimly completely ignoring my question, as if I hadn’t said anything in the first place. “I told you you’re not in control of me I’m not one of your little underlings. You don’t own me.” I argued as his eyes narrowed at me, I knit my brow slightly at his eyes as they seemed to get shadier by the second. “Oh really? Let’s test your theory shall we eh?” he smirked jerking my arm roughly out of the locker room and into the still moving halls. “Everyone stop what you’re doing and listen up!” Harry called out and everyone stopped, the halls were still. “You stay away from her, this girl is mine and if I catch any of you even glance at her.” Harry’s head turned to Liam and as if on cue Liam’s knife stabbed into one of the lockers and he leaned calmly against the locker door as the gleaming blade stood stiff in the metal. “Got the message.” Harry muttered at the still crowd, yanking my arm as he pulled me closer. Everyone nodded as they stood quietly. “Good, spread the word. Get out of my sight.” He finished as everyone continued on their way and he turned to me swiftly.

“So sweetcheeks, I hope you got the message. You’re mine and I make sure I get what I want, don’t make Hunter’s wellbeing one of my missions to destroy. I could have him gone within a week. I could obliterate him personally, if you don’t watch yourself. My lads have their eyes and ears all over this town.” He smirked positioning his finger under my chin, “…remember that.” he snarled walking away as they all dispersed into the halls to their classes. I suppressed the lump in my throat as my heart started beating again. What the heck was I supposed to do now… they’re going to be the end of me.
