I got up slowly in an effort to not wake him up as his grip on me had loosened a bit. This shirt smelled of him, it upset me. I moved out from under the covers as I got my clothes and put them on quickly, I was leaving now. I couldn’t be here when I still had to go to school. “What do you think you’re doing?” I froze as his voice filled the once still room. I cleared my throat standing up straight facing him. “I have to go to school, I have to go home.” I stuttered as he sat up.

“No, you can miss one day. Get back in bed, I’ll go make you breakfast.” He spoke with his morning voice still intact. I merely nodded with a small sigh, I’d rather just comply with his commands than fight anymore after last night. I got into the bed and sat quietly as he got up, walking inside. The sun was slowly rising and I had heard voices inside early this morning, so I’m sure they were all up. My mind traced back and forth from last night as I traced my fingers across the soft linens on the bed. I got up and walked inside slowly, I didn’t want to be stuck in that room I might as well be somewhere I can breathe without worrying about him. “Morning, you’re up.” Abby smiled getting up from her seat as she walked towards me and I nodded trying to return the smile but failed miserably. “Let’s go outside for a bit then. So we can talk, I heard everything last night…you okay?”

I shrugged walking outside and standing against the wall, letting the sun heat me up a bit. “Hey…talk to me, I can help.” She pleaded taking hold of my arm softly as I moved away from her moving my hair behind my ear. “I’m fine, I’ll be fine I just want to have a break from him is all.” I answered plainly and she nodded in agreement. “So, how about you?” I asked hoping to start some kind of conversation. “What about me?”

“How are things going? Generally.” I mumbled staring at a flower in front of me which had just barely begun to bloom. “Good, Niall’s been out of trouble besides last night’s heist. I sent him out this morning to buy some supplies and food, but with my money. I don’t let him buy things for me with the stolen money. Niall came back a bit sooner than expected, but I’m glad he came back sooner so that I can keep an eye on him, I love him and trust him but considering this gang I don’t know what to expect at times, so I’m constantly worried.” She sighed looking at me as she spoke and I nodded, “How did you two get together?”

“Well we met when I had just moved over here and he used to come into the coffee shop I worked at every day. We started talking and pretty soon we were going out, then I found out about the gang and him being a part of it. I didn’t support it. Never did. I had a problem with it ever since I found out, but I knew the reasons for the gang and I knew who started it, all of these guys came from a broken home…or no home at all. Their circumstances got the better of them. It all became too much I guess. That’s why I’m here to keep Niall in check in case anything becomes too much for him again. He’s aggressive to say the least and we’ve created this bond where I would calm him if he needed it…Sometimes it got out of hand but I dealt with it. I honestly love him so much and I would say it was love at first sight but I don’t believe in that shit. I wouldn’t be able to live without him.” Her words flowed from her tongue as gracefully as she stood, the fondness in her voice and slight blush upon her cheeks proved all the more how much she actually liked him.

My heart was saddened as I watched her giddy heart leap from her chest at the love she felt for him, she really didn’t understand then. She wasn’t forced into this like I was but maybe…maybe she dealt with the rest of his ‘girls’.
“Everything okay?” she chuckled waving her hand in front of me as I nodded, “I just want to think a bit is all, you seem genuinely happy. I don’t know if I’ll ever have that.” I answered looking at her and she nodded understandingly. “Princess?” Niall’s voice echoed throughout the living room as she stood up straight from the wall, “Duty calls, it okay if I go?”

“Yeah, definitely. I’m going to be by the lake.” I smiled softly as she left and jumped into Niall’s arms as I watched them play and kiss each other. They were cute, I couldn’t help but stare. They made their way into the bedroom and shut the door hastily, I knew what that meant and I didn’t need to hear it. “Enjoy yourself…” I mumbled to no one in particular and strolled over to the lake holding my arms as I sat down, leaning my head in my hands, wincing at the swollen mark still present on my cheek. His ring must have left the bruise. I heard steps becoming louder on the pebbled ground, coming towards me. Harry took a seat beside me and took hold of my hand but I jerked it away quickly, scooting away from him. “What are you doing here?” I asked quietly staring at the water as he shrugged, in the corner of my eye I could see his face harden at my words. “I was looking for you.”
