I finished up in the shower, getting myself clean as I shed my last tear and got out. I noticed clean clothes on the toilet seat…they were mine, but I hadn’t had any other clothes here. I was completely violated and used already. I walked out slowly, noticing the house to be empty and walked down to the kitchen, getting out my breakfast, which by now I was in desperate need of. “I see you found your clothes.” Liam stated taking a seat opposite me as I furrowed my eyebrows. “What’s it to you? How did you get these?” I questioned as he shrugged. “I broke into your house, security back there isn’t very good.” He mumbled taking a sip of his drink.
“You what?!” I gasped banging my hand on the counter. “I broke into your room window and stole it, don’t worry I didn’t hurt anyone and nothing is broken, they’ll never know.”“You fucking hear yourself right?! I swear to God that better be all you took or else-”
“-or else what?” he chuckled as if he wasn’t worried about my completion of that sentence, I chose not to take my chances, so I sighed. “Thought so.” He spoke with a smirk as he sat down and I shook my head slowly eating my food. “Where’s Harry?” I questioned quietly as he looked up at me, his brown eyes scanning my every move. Whenever he spoke or looked at anything I had realised he did that. It must be a habit of his to overanalyse things, he must have gotten used to it with all his thievery. Constantly looking over his shoulder. “Harry’s by the lake with the others.” He mumbled casually as he reached for my empty plate and I winced jumping back slightly at the touch of our hands. He narrowed his eyebrows and it was as if something had clicked inside of his head, he was analysing again. He took my plate putting it in the sink and placed a light hand on my shoulder, easing into it as he brought me into a hug. I stiffened at his touch but calmed as soon as he let go. It was a brief hug, one I hadn’t expected but I didn’t fight it either… maybe he realised what happened, maybe he was too scared to try and help in the first place.
I sulked slightly at the sudden outburst of emotion then none at all, “I need to go practice. See you around.” He mumbled incoherently as he put on some gloves and walked outside towards the trees. What was with everyone in this house? Nothing was helping me and nothing was helping anything, whatever I do was wrong. I walked to the living room sitting down on the couch as Abby made her way inside, taking a seat beside me.
I sat back as she tried to make conversation with me. “So, how’s it going? Everything alright?” She questioned as I nodded with a small smile, “Just tired is all.” I knew she didn’t buy it because she looked at me with guilt in her eyes as if she was responsible for all of this. I sighed a bit uncomfortable with the silence as I shifted my body in the couch and she cleared her throat. “Let’s watch TV, we can laugh a bit.” She smiled patting my back softly as she switched on the TV, to some weird cartoons which actually brought a smile to my face. I chuckled as Abby laughed at the stupid show, she was making this a bit more bearable, I was grateful for that. I watched as Niall soon made an appearance and sat down next to Abby whispering something in her ear, I couldn’t make out and she giggled shaking her head. “Please princess.” He pleaded running his hand up her leg as I cocked a brow at them and shook my head.
“No Niall,” she chuckled as he kissed her neck and tangled their fingers together, in an effort to get as close to her as possible. He groped her butt as he bit down on her skin, causing her to squirm and bite her lip. I was seriously getting uncomfortable again. I sighed softly to myself trying to block them out as I stared at the TV which made me smile again, until Harry walked in. I ignored him, trying to keep my attention fixed on the show and he sat down next to me, slowly putting his arm around me. I tensed up shifting away slightly but he moved me back in position and laid against me; putting his head on my lap. “Niall stop it!” Abby scolded seriously now as Niall stopped what he was doing, or trying to do, and kissed her cheek.
I held my breath trying to calm myself as Harry made himself comfortable on me, “Harry, can you leave her alone. She’s obviously uncomfortable with you there.” Abby spoke up as Harry narrowed his eyes raising his head from my lap. “This doesn’t concern you. Shut up.” He scolded as she raised a brow at him, “It concerns me when you’re making my friend uncomfortable. Just leave her alone!”
Harry shot a look at Niall and in an instant Niall was at his feet, “Baby, let’s go. Keep quiet and let’s go inside. This isn’t our business.” Niall spoke calmly, trying to stay in Harry’s ‘good books’ I presume. “No, why should I leave just because he’s said so, he should leave I was sitting here before he came in and Monique was smiling until he came in now she’s sitting there upset again!” she argued, as Niall pulled her closer and whispered something angrily in her ear. “Shut the fuck up if you know what’s good for you. Niall if you don’t tame her I will.” Harry threatened and my body tensed up all over again, the angrier he got the tighter his grip on me got. Abby stormed up to the room in fury as Niall ran behind her an angry scowl across his features. “What’s your problem hm? Why are you uncomfortable around me?” Harry asked directing his attention to me now, he was still angry that much was clear.
“Nothing,” I whispered incoherently, just enough for him to hear as I focused on the TV and felt my eyes start to water again. “Are you serious? Fucking grow up. Get over it. We all have to get over our shit.” He scolded as I frowned nodding slowly. “Let’s go. You need fresh air.” He mumbled rolling his eyes at me as he stood up and took hold of my hand walking outside. We walked slowly in silence around the lake, the only sound being the wildlife. “How do you feel?” he questioned turning his head to me slowly as he looked up from the floor. “Good.” I stuttered quietly focusing on the floor, watching the multi-coloured leaves dance in the wind. “Okay, did you eat yet?”
“Yes.” I answered as I listened to him trying to make hopeless conversation. “Are you going to speak to me or just give me that shit?” he asked stopping himself from walking any farther. “…Sorry.” I answered with a sigh watching the water in the lake, literally anything is better than looking at him right now. I heard steps as I looked up to see Zayn breaking some branches off of a dead tree and Harry turned his attention to where I was looking. “Let’s go.” He mumbled as he walked towards Zayn and followed slowly behind him. “Ey, everything working out alright here?” Harry asked as Zayn lifted his head from his duties, presenting us both with a smile small as he nodded. “Just getting the extras ready for later. Louis figured out a way to get through to the Johnson place. Security is tight but Liam and Niall are doing a double job and they’ll be out in 20 once I go in. Smoke bombs everywhere, no one sees it coming.” He smiled and I furrowed my eyebrows. “That the full plan?” Harry questioned as Zayn shook his head crossing his arms over his broad chest. “Not quite. That’s where you come in, we’ve got a shotgun loaded in case of a problem and Louis got the place rigged with surveillance-”
