The morning light burnt my eyes, I sighed softly to myself trying to cover up what I could of my face. The couch was not the most comfortable sleeping space, but right now I wasn't sure I had any other option. It seemed early, the sun had just risen. At most it was probably somewhere around 6 or 7am. I was exhausted, I had barely slept a wink, my back felt like absolute shite and I couldn't sleep with this much sunlight in my face. I frowned burying my face into the cushion and tried to hide myself away. How the fuck was I supposed to fix this? How do I even tell him that none of this is real? I spent most of last night in tears with my nose buried in my sleeve, the fact that no one gave a damn to even check up on me said enough. Maybe they were too drunk to notice me, or maybe they just truly didn't want to deal with the accidentally pregnant girl. No wonder Abigail was afraid to say anything. I heard a muffled voice coming from upstairs, it sounded like Harry's. he was up early, maybe he couldn't sleep either.

My eyes hurt badly, but I was too awake to try and sleep again. I yawned tying my hair up hugging my knees, the bedroom door opened somewhere upstairs and I panicked. I heard the voice again, this time clearer. "Be there in 5 to 10 minutes, don't make me wait I'm exhausted." It was Harry, he came strolling down the stairs in his grey sweatpants, phone to his ear while he pulled down the sleeves to his washed-out black jersey. He seemed fixated on the conversation. His hair looked tousled, as if his hands had been through it one too many times. I frowned to myself, I could only imagine the state he was in at this point. "I said I did it okay, yeah I fucking have the proof what am I an idiot? Oh, ha ha, you're a real genius with your jokes. Whatever, just be there. I don't need anyone waking up right now," he mumbled into the phone sighing, running his hand over his face scrunching at his temple, as if everything being said was plain stupidity on the other line. "Because I don't need anyone seeing you, darling." He chuckled, "You know how they are, that we save for our nights together." My heart dropped, I couldn't listen, but at the same time I had to. I bit back my tears trying my best to cover myself, luckily for me I was out of sight in the furthest corner of the living room, so I could wallow in my own misery. How could I ever have thought I was enough to change this guy? Fucking idiot.

"Listen, I said I'll be there now." He clarified, "Okay, bye." The day seemed to seep into the house slowly, sunlight touching everything in its path inch by inch. I watched as Harry's figure walked into the light while he put his phone into his pocket. I frowned feeling the physical pain collide with my emotional pain, it felt like everything I thought I had was now brutally taken from me.
He made his way to the door and walked out, his body tensed as he stepped onto the sandy beach. "What are you doing?" I frowned to myself, staring at him through the window. He looked around a few times, as if to check for any witnesses. Then he continued to walk. I stood to my feet nearly falling over, I should not have gotten up so fast. I stretched my body, earning a few cracks from my bones which were so damn stiff, thank you couch, and tiptoed out the door. There was a slight breeze outside, barely enough to do anything. The morning felt cool, airy and light. I breathed in the fresh air and started for Harry's trail.

I hid as much as possible, quietly trotting along while he walked. I saw someone in the distance, it was a girl, as I had suspected. Three girls actually, my breathing automatically increased. I walked closer, standing behind a tree a few feet away. "So, mister not so bachelor man. Show me what you've got." She grinned, as I got a closer look I had realised just who this was. It was the girls from the party, Red's party. He lifted up his hand, wiggling his ring finger. "Oh my, he actually did it. You're a crazy son of a bitch aren't you." They laughed patting his shoulder. "Yeah, yeah. Convinced?"

"Not nearly, we need the papers. We know your schemes all too well Harry." A blonde one said placing her hand on her hip and the other out in front of her. Harry rolled his eyes, a slight smirk to his lips as he handed her a folded-up piece of paper. "Wow, so it's pretty official. This is great. I never regret a deal with you." She smiled kissing his cheek, giving back the paper. "You can get your money back and we can lay low for a while." Harry mumbled. I felt a pair of hands grip my wrists and twist them behind my back, I cried out in pain and got shoved forward. Upon noticing Harry had had the slightest tint of worry in his eyes before they went dark once more.

I turned back staring at one of the girls who must have been on the lookout. I should have known. "Whoa, I thought we weren't authorising another visitor here Harry?" the brunette spoke tilting her head. "That's because we didn't." Harry spoke through gritted teeth, clearly unamused by my presence. "What the fuck are you doing here?" he spat staring down at me. I shook slightly, shaking my head as the tear stained itself on my cheek. "I could ask you the same thing Harry." I mumbled trying my best to maintain a steady voice as I stared at the marriage certificate between his fingers, he followed my eyes and his lip twitched up into a smirk, "Oh, this? Well, you might as well know now huh?"

"Oh, sorry this is going to hurt. We will be going, nice seeing the bride." The girls chuckled, leaving me and walked off. "Harry what are you doing with that?" I frowned he stepped closer to me, "Showing them proof, so that they know the money they loaned me wasn't for nothing. They paid our bail, and the only way they would agree to it was for me to show the how...committed I was to our agreement. So, in order for that to happen, I very simply had to marry you. Welcome to the family," he hissed sliding the ring off his finger tossing it against my stomach as I caught it. "Get home, you had no business being here."

I blinked rapidly, trying to fathom what had just happened. Everything had seemed to be moving in slow motion, I held onto the ring and ran, as fast as my feet would allow me to, I ran into the beach house breathlessly, nearly bumping over Abigail and Zayn who were on their way out. "Whoa, are you okay? Did something happen?" Zayn muttered worriedly, inspecting my arms. "I-I..." I hiccupped, trying to speak choking on my own words as the sobs broke through. "Monique, speak up what's wrong?" Abigail mumbled taking my hand sitting me down. I shook my head wiping my face, standing back up. "I n-need to sleep, my back and my arms hurt. I just... I need to go." I frowned. "Baby pains already?" Zayn asked timidly, a curved my lips into a small smile at the lie, "Yeah, probably...Zayn? Can I ask you a favour, please?" I whispered, biting down on my lip sniffling, "Yeah go ahead."

"I know this is against your rules and stuff, but please, can I sleep in your room for an hour or two, I really just need a bed, I was on the couch all night and I couldn't sleep, and Harry he isn't... he isn't in a good space, please." I breathed out quietly, searching his face for some type of pity before Harry returned. "Uh...Yeah, no yeah of course. You should get some rest. C'mon. I'm going to be busy outside anyway." He nodded his head up to the stairs showing me to his room, I smiled thankfully at him and went inside, sinking down onto the mattress, the weight of everything collapsing onto me all at once.
