You tend to the horses for the war, after the old Stable girl had disappeared without an explanation reaching your ear. You followed along the Nohrian war with the royal family against one of their own who decided to join Hoshido. It broke their hearts and you consoled and comforted Camilla the most, but sometimes you would to force Xander not to bottle up his feelings.

This was one of those times. He needed a hug so he was clutching on to you as though you were her, Corrin. His sons dampened the shoulder and neckline of your maid's outfit as you stroked his cpback in dismay and melancholy.

"We cared for her so much, why did she have to leave?"

"You did, milord. But I guess it's wasn't enough for her. If it wasn't, then she had impossibly high standers that nobody will ever reach. It may not even be a problem woth you or your siblings, it could be either the king or somethign in Hoshido happened thst she just had to go back."

He sniffed again, this was so abnormal for the prince but you we're th only one who saw him like this, ever. Not even his siblings or father know his weakness, but that was because you begged and forced him to let it out. You rub a somfortimg hand up and down his back without even thinking about your crush on the high prince. Thst was somethign thst could never, ever happen.

"That is a small comfort, but I need all I can right now. Gods I'm so weak."

"Someone who is weak has just been strong for far too long."

He seemed inspired on a way at Your words and muttered them on his lips again as if he was trying to believe it himself. But you believed it. Your mother was strong after father left them, then she became weak and killed herslef. She didn't share her feelings so that's why you made Xander do so, so he wouldn't hang himself like she did.

"That's is a much better comfort, thank you (Your name)." 

He sat up, thinking he was done. But you could see it in his chocolatey brown eyes. He was still drowning in the emotions in his head.

"I see there anything else you need to talk about, milord?"

He sighed, looking down.

"They're falling apart. Camilla won't come out of her room, Leo trains so vigorously, and Elise never smiles anymore. And look at me, I am breaking down. I'm not for to be king..."

You clench your first at your side. Hwo could he say that?!

"Milord, you are far more deserving to be king than anyone I know, ecspecially Garon. You are determined and strong minded as well as considerate. You woudlnt star meaningless wars liek your father is right now. Pardon me for soeakign my mind but you deserve the bestie. These hardships that you have to overcome right now just build your character and make you stronger in the end. Believe me when I say you would Be the best King this god for darken Kingdom has ever known!"

You gasp for air, after saying all that in one breath was hard, but you seemed to have surprised the high prince woth your boldness. You blush and look down.

"Perhaps I shoud leave."

"No no, (Your name), thank you. I actually wish to discuss more with you."

You had no idea what he wanted to discussed, but you gulped and sat back down with him. His eyes begged for company. You couldn't leave him alone now. You sat and talked.
